A UAV recovery system including a recovery cart; a guide mechanism for defining the path of the cart; a base station for capturing a UAV tailhook; a momentum transfer system driven by the inertia of the UAV through the arresting member to move the recovery cart along the guide mechanism away from the base station in the same direction as the UAV; an acceleration control device for converging the speeds and positions of the UAV and cart for enabling engagement of the cart and UAV as their relative speeds approach zero; and a brake system for stopping the recovery cart when the cart and UAV are engaged. Also disclosed is a UAV having a tailhook pivotably mounted on the UAV at the center of gravity of the UAV.

Unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) recovery system

A searchlight is provided featuring a bezel pull-in retention assembly having a frame and a housing. The frame has a back plate configured with at least one opening to receive a fastening device. The housing is configured with a front end opening for receiving the frame, configured with a back end opening having an outer rim for receiving a seal plate, the seal plate configured to be adapted in the rim of the back end opening, to receive the fastening device and to fixedly couple the frame to the housing.

Searchlight having pull-in bezel retention for marine applications

A searchlight is provided featuring a searchlight having a searchlight assembly and a searchlight control circuitry module. The searchlight assembly has a central axis and includes a ramped insert and a light source socket arrangement. The ramped insert is configured with an angled surface that is oblique in relation to the central axis. The light source socket arrangement is configured to receive a bulb or light source for providing the light beam, is also configured with a corresponding angled surface that is also oblique in relation with to the central axis, and is also configured to respond to an applied force and rotate so as to move axially along the central axis in relation to the ramped insert.

Searchlight having rotational beam focus for marine applications

The present invention provides a float level switch featuring a housing; an actuator shaft arranged in the housing; and a low force shaft seal assembly arranged between the actuator shaft and the housing, having a combination of disks or seals, one being made of a semi-rigid lubricious material, for maintaining a watertight seal with a substantially reduced rotational force or friction on the actuator shaft than a conventional O-ring.

Fluid level switch

A crib mattress bouncing device includes a lever having a pivot structure for releasably engaging a mattress support frame at a first end of the lever. A clamping structure intermediate the ends of the lever structure engages a tensioned wire or like structure in a mattress support. Displacing the second end of the lever in a first direction deflects the attached and surrounding portions of the mattress support and mattress in a first direction. Releasing a force on the second end allows the mattress support to return to its original position. Repeated actuation of the second end of the lever structure produces a gentle bouncing motion of the mattress.

Crib mattress bouncer

A process and apparatus are provided for conserving water and heat energy in a hot water supply system. A holding tank is provided near the Point Of Use to capture unwanted cooled water. An integrated displacement actuator allows this volume to be recirculated back into the hot water supply line after use. The actuator consists of a flexible bladder or rolling diaphragm that divides the holding tank into two compartments; one for non-compressible supply water, and the second for a compressible phase change fluid. At ambient temperature, the phase change fluid condenses to a liquid phase at a relatively low pressure, allowing diverted water to flow into the tank from the hot water supply system. When the phase change fluid is warmed by the adjacent hot water, it changes to a gaseous phase, pressurizing the holding tank and allowing re-injection of the cool water into the hot water supply system. A control system is provided direct water flow based on time, temperature and pressure.
