An enclosure for a radiographic device includes a bottom panel, a plurality of sidewalls integrally formed with the bottom panel, whereby the plurality of sidewalls and the bottom panel define a unitary body, and a top panel joined to the plurality of sidewalls and defining an internal space therebetween for housing a radiographic device.

Apparatus for a radiographic device

A radiation shielding system for an x-ray digital detector array includes a first radiation shield having a plurality of shielding pads and a plurality of interstices between the plurality of shielding pads, the plurality of shielding pads having a greater thickness than the thickness of the plurality of interstices. The plurality of shielding pads is configured to be positioned over active components of the x-ray digital detector array and the interstices are configured to be positioned over passive components of the x-ray digital detector array.

Radiation shielding system

An x-ray detector for obtaining x-ray images of an object is provided that is capable of increasing the ability of the detector to withstand shock and other types of forces acting on the enclosure to prevent and/or limit damage to the internal components of the detector. The enclosure includes an internal filler/force distribution layer formed from a lightweight, rigid material such as rigid foam and/or a suitable structure, such as a honeycomb or other lattice structure. The material is formed or shaped to fill a layer or portion of the interior of the detector that is otherwise empty space defined between the various internal components of the detector. The position and shape of the force distribution layer determines the path of load distribution across or through the enclosure away from the internal components of the detector and is optimized for shock absorption and/or load distribution.

X-ray detector structure

An imaging coil () includes multiple end rings (). A center ring () extends parallel to and is coupled between the end rings (). Multiple legs () are coupled between the end rings () and the center ring (). The end rings () may have a first radius (R) that is greater than a second radius (R) of the center ring (). The imaging coil () may include more than 16 legs. The imaging coil () may include multiple capacitor groupings () coupled along the end rings (), each capacitor grouping () has multiple capacitors () with a coverage area width (W) greater than 5.0 cm. The center ring () may be coupled to a ground reference () and has low impedance such that the center ring () is effectively shorted to the ground reference ().
