A first and second connector are in liquid communication with the reservoir. The first and second connector each have a respective first and second valve. A resilient tube is disposed between the connectors. The resilient tube has a neutral position with both valves closed and a second position with one valve open and one valve closed.

A liquid dispensing razor with a handle defining a cavity. A cartridge mounted to the handle. The cartridge has a cap, a guard and one or more blades between the cap and the guard. A fluid applicator is mounted to the shaving razor cartridge for delivering fluid to a surface to be shaved. A fluid reservoir is at least partially positioned within the cavity of the handle. The fluid reservoir has an inner wall defining an opening and a frangible seal within the opening. A fluid connector is positioned within the cavity. The fluid connector has an angled tip configured to pierce the frangible seal to establish a fluid connection between the fluid applicator and the fluid reservoir. The fluid reservoir has an inner wall with an annular rib that engages the fluid connector.

Personal-care appliance and method of assembly

A personal-care appliance having a handle defining a cavity. A fluid connector is positioned within the cavity. A fluid reservoir is positioned within the cavity. The fluid reservoir has a frangible seal that is spaced apart from the fluid connector. A cover is mounted to the handle over the cavity.

A replaceable fluid dispensing cartridge for a liquid dispensing razor having a fluid interconnect member with a pivotable support member and a base member with a fluid port and an engagement surface for removably and fixedly mating to a corresponding engagement member of a handle. A cartridge housing is mounted to the pivotable support member. The cartridge housing has a guard, a cap, and at least one blade between the cap and the guard. The washout cavity has an open area of at least 80 percent for allowing unobstructed passage of water substantially along an entire length of the blade.

The mounting of the cover to the handle urges at least one of the connectors to slide along the tapered surface forcing the first and second connectors toward each other.

The liquid dispensing hair removal device has a handle with a pair of opposing movable arms removably engaged to the cartridge. A dispensing unit is disposed within the handle. The cartridge retention members contact the pair of arms preventing disengagement of the cartridge from the handle.
