A method of donning a potentiating support for a hinge joint of a body includes positioning a garment proximate an area of a body; positioning an expandable and recoverable framework in abutment with the area of the body such that the framework spans a hinge joint of the body, the framework defining a plurality of permanent openings extending therethrough regardless of whether the support is donned; applying tension at points of the framework such that the framework is expanded and the framework is tensioned in its abutment with the area of the body, said step of applying tension being performed by pulling on one or more fastening components that are attached at one or more points to said framework; and affixing each of the fastening components to the garment while applying tension to the framework to secure the expanded framework in its forced abutment with the area of the body.

Potentiating support with expandable framework

A fluid dispersal system with integrated UV lighting includes a reservoir of fluid, a sprayer head connected to the fluid reservoir, a nozzle, and an ultraviolet lighting element. The nozzle is supported by the sprayer head and is in fluid communication with the reservoir to disperse fluid from the reservoir in a spray direction. The ultraviolet lighting element is supported by the sprayer head adjacent the spray nozzle, and directs ultraviolet light in a direction generally parallel to the spray direction. The nozzle and the lighting element may be actuated such that ultraviolet light is directed onto a surface while fluid is simultaneously dispersed onto the surface.

A pet nail trimmer includes a pair of handles, a housing, a guillotine assembly, and a light. The guillotine assembly extends from the housing and is actuated by the handles. The assembly includes a blade and a frame that are in parallel to one another and that define a cutting opening that includes a first end nearest the handles, a second end opposite the first end, and two sides. The light is disposed within and along a side of the cutting opening, adjacent the blade and the frame, and is oriented to direct light across the cutting opening from one side thereof toward the other. The light is directed in a direction that is generally perpendicular to the handles.

Internally lighted nail trimmer

An annular shaped two tier desk organizer and multi-compartment storage unit or device. The organizer/storage unit includes a base assembly having a central vertical axis, a stationary lower member and a rotatable upper member superposed or superimposed on the lower member. The lower member includes a speaker, an electric pencil sharpener, an electric stapler and a USB port for charging a cell phone, calculator or the like. A small computer is also disposed in the lower member and is connected to the Internet.

A washing glove includes a sheath designed to be pulled onto the hand and extend along a portion of the forearm, and includes at least one thumb opening for extension of the thumb there through and at least one finger opening at a distal end of the sheath for extension of one or more fingers therethrough. The glove also includes a section of protuberances with openings in-between and around various protuberances for flow of water onto a pet being washed while the pet is scrubbed via the protuberances; and an actuator for selectively actuating flow of the water to and through the openings in the section of protuberances. The section is located in an area for covering a palm of the hand, adjacent the thumb opening, and the actuator is located at a proximal end of the sheath in an area for covering a portion of a forearm.

A body support for spanning a hinge joint of the body comprises an elastically stretchable framework. The framework includes an integrally molded network of interconnected elastomeric segments. A first subset of the interconnected, elastomeric segments extends along a perimeter of the framework, and a second subset of the interconnected, elastomeric segments located within the perimeter of the framework bounds and defines a plurality of permanent openings in the framework. One of the plurality of permanent openings comprises an alignment opening. None of the interconnected, elastomeric segments of the first subset are part of the second subset.

A water dispensing apparatus includes a lifting system and a water reservoir. The apparatus automatically installs a water bottle by lowering and inverting the water reservoir atop a water bottle, coupling the water reservoir to the water bottle, and raising and inverting the water reservoir with the water bottle coupled therewith. One or more compartments are filled with water from the inverted water bottle, and water is dispensed from each compartment through a dispenser. Multiple compartments may be included in the water reservoir, with the water in one compartment being electrically cooled and water in another compartment being electrically heated.

A stroller for carrying a child in a plurality of configurations includes a frame having a frame base defining a forward-facing direction and a rearward-facing direction and at least two side members attached at opposite sides of the frame base. The stroller further includes a plurality of wheels connected to the frame and a seat arranged generally above a platform attached to the frame and configured for selective rotation, relative to the frame base, about an axis generally perpendicular to the platform. The seat may be selectively rotated between a forward-facing position and a rearward-facing position. The seat may further be adapted to be selectively reconfigurable between a seated configuration and a standing configuration.

A container includes a first bowl suspended by a dual-axis gimbal within&#x2014;and out of contact with&#x2014;a second bowl. The first bowl includes a first opening and the second bowl includes a second opening. The first opening overlies the second opening to permit access to an interior storage space of the first bowl from an exterior of the container when the first and second bowls are in respective upright orientations. The first bowl may be rotated 180 degrees in every rotational direction relative to the second bowl. A lid is removably attachable to the second bowl and that inhibits rotational movement of the first bowl. A handle circumferentially extends entirely around the second bowl and defines an opening for a finger or thumb for gripping and holding of the container when the lid is attached.

A mountable power strip includes a first arm section having a plurality of electrical receptacles defining a 'strip' of electrical receptacles. The mountable power strip further includes a coupling assembly that is configured to couple the first arm section to a second arm section such that the first and second arm sections are configured for rotational movement relative to each other about an axis of the coupling assembly. The first and second arm sections are biased by at least one spring member such that the first and second arm sections are configured to transition between a first open configuration and a second closed configuration. The biasing may be toward the closed configuration for mounting of the power strip.

An alarm device includes a first portion housing an alarm component for producing an audible sound upon actuation in response to an alarm event and a second portion housing a vibration-inducing component for producing shaking movement in the device upon actuation in response to an alarm event. The first and second portions are pivotably engaged with one another to permit swiveling movement of one of either the first or second portion relative to the other portion. The first and second portions are pivotable between a first position, wherein opposing surfaces of each of the first and second portions are substantially fully aligned with one another, and a second position, wherein opposing surfaces of each of the first and second portions are substantially exposed.

Alarm device

A body support for spanning a hinge joint of the body comprises an elastically stretchable framework. The framework includes an integrally molded network of interconnected elastomeric segments. A first subset of the interconnected, elastomeric segments extends along a perimeter of the framework, and a second subset of the interconnected, elastomeric segments located within the perimeter of the framework bounds and defines an alignment opening. None of the interconnected, elastomeric segments of the first subset are part of the second subset.

An apparatus for disposition on appendage, such as an arm or leg, is capable of encircling and applying opposing forces selectively thereto. A C-shaped component receives one side of the appendage, a second C-shaped component receives the other side of the appendage, and a tensioning system draws the two components together for selective application of pressure to the appendage. Outriggers and pressure applicators may be used to apply pressure to extended areas of the appendage that otherwise would not be engaged by the C-shaped components. Side-to-side tissue compression thereby is provided for deflection of muscle forces, functional shortening of muscle length, and the maintenance of neurovascular channels. Circumferential forces may be minimized based on semirigid characteristics of the components. Elbow and shoulder braces apply side-to-side tissue compression to arms.
