A soil analysis system is provided for an agricultural vehicle and includes a sensor apparatus, a controller, and a display device. The sensor apparatus includes a location sensor configured to determine a location of the agricultural vehicle; and an infrared sensor configured to collect infrared spectra from soil at the location. The controller is configured to determine a soil type based on the location; select at least one nutrient calibration curve based on the soil type at the location; analyze the infrared spectra according to the at least one nutrient calibration curve to generate at least one estimated nutrient value for the soil at the location; and generate display commands representing the at least one estimated nutrient value. The display device is configured to generate a first display representing the at least one estimated nutrient value based on the display commands.

In-field soil analysis system and method

An agricultural nutrient applicator includes a container and a nutrient distribution assembly operably coupled to the container to deliver a nutrient from the container. A spectroscopic reflectance crop sense system is provided that includes an optical window. A presentation assembly is mounted to the agricultural nutrient applicator and is configured to position live plants in a field proximate the optical window of the spectroscopic reflectance crop sense system as the agricultural nutrient applicator moves. A controller is coupled to the spectroscopic reflectance crop sense system and the nutrient distribution assembly. The controller is configured to obtain, from the spectroscopic reflectance crop sense system, information indicative of a measured nutrient level in the live plants and determine a remedial nutrient amount based on the measured nutrient level and a target nutrient level. The controller controls the nutrient distribution assembly based on the remedial amount.

When the rockshaft is in the raised position, the plurality of linkages maintain the corresponding plurality of row cleaner assemblies in a raised position.

A wrap floor is moved toward and into contact with the feeder system, which is spring biased to maintain a substantially consistent gap between the between the feeder system and round module builder. Cotton is directed toward the round module builder and a directing mechanism directs a wrap for wrapping the directed cotton into a round module.

A wrap is feedable into the chamber through a pinch point, the pinch point partially defined by a rotatable roller. A belt at least partially defines a wrap path. The wrap is configured to move along the wrap path to surround the product in the chamber. A gas flow system and/or a reversing belt is operable to direct the wrap from the pinch point toward the wrap path.

Cotton cleaner assembly with saw drum and releasable grid bar mechanism that includes bars and a release mechanism that moves the bars between operational and released positions is disclosed. In operational position, the release mechanism locks the bars in a fixed position relative to the saw drum to knock debris from cotton that rotates with the saw drum. In released position, the release mechanism moves the bars away from the saw drum to enable blockages that interfere with saw drum rotation to be cleared. The grid bar mechanism can include side members, where the bars extend between the side members, and the release mechanism moves the side members. The release mechanism can manually or hydraulically pivot the side members about pivot points against and away from stops. The pivot points and stops can be adjustable to adjust distance between the bars and saw drum in the operational position.
