One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed that can provide for a portable monitor control. A movement detection triggering system can be disposed between a fluid inlet and the body of the portable monitor, and may be able to restrict or reduce fluid flow when the monitor is moved from its desired position. A trigger arm can be coupled with the inlet, and, when the inlet is pivoted away from a set position, the trigger arm is also moved, which triggers another portion of the control system. A trigger pin is released, which may allow a lever to rotate, allowing a restrictor component to move into place in the fluid flow path, thereby restricting fluid flow.

Portable monitor control system

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a foam fluid dispensing device that allows for quick and easy adjustment between a straight stream and dispersed stream. A user can quickly adjust between various stream patterns using a common motion in nozzle operation. An example device can comprise a nozzle comprising a nozzle body and an inlet configured to receive a flow of fluid, with a nozzle stem centrally disposed in the nozzle and fixedly engaged with the nozzle body. The device can also comprise a foam tube configured to receive and dispense at least a portion of the flow of fluid from the nozzle, with a foam tube coupler fixedly engaged with the foam tube. The foam tube coupler can be configured to operably couple with the nozzle stem.

Enhanced foam spray pattern device

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a dual shutoff nozzle that can mitigate a user positioning a bale handle of the nozzle in an intermediate position to achieve fog flow through the nozzle. A nozzle may be devised that allows the bale to be disposed in a fully closed position, and/or disposed in a fully open position, and to switch between a fog spray and a straight tip flow. The nozzle may comprise a first flow control element, and a shutoff component that controls the first control element. The nozzle can comprise a second flow control element that controls flow between a straight nozzle outlet and a fog pattern outlet; and the second flow control element can be controlled by a pattern sleeve using a rotation motion.

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a light mounting base to which a light may be selectably coupled. The light mounting base can be selectably engaged with a target mounting surface, thereby allowing the light to be mounted thereto. The light mounting base can comprise one or more target mounting surface engaging components that can be used to selectably engage the base with the target mounting surface. The light mounting base may be configured to selectably mount on a door or panel. Further, the base may be configured to mechanically engage with a target mounting surface, such as a wall, thereby selectably fastening the light mounting base and attached light to the target mounting surface.

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a flow control valve element, which may comprise a generally spherical shape. An inlet and outlet are formed in the element, with a fluid passage disposed between. The respective inlet and outlet are defined by a lip, and at least the outlet has a lip face comprising a width less than that of an adjacent element wall thickness. The element can comprise a pair of opposing flats formed in the wall, where the flats respectively comprise an external flat portion of the element wall and an opposing internal flat portion of the element wall.

Valve having reduced operating force and enhanced throttling capability

A foam-applying nozzle including a generally hollow housing. An eductor disposed in the housing has a generally hollow body with a wall, the hollow of the body forming an eduction chamber. An eductor inlet and an opposing eductor outlet are in fluid communication with the eduction chamber. A plurality of jet inlets extend into the wall of the body, the jet inlets terminating in jet ports that are in fluid communication with the eduction chamber. The jet inlets are configured to receive a predetermined portion of a pressurized fluid, the portion exiting through the jet ports generally toward the eductor outlet, creating a vacuum in the eduction chamber. The vacuum is configured to draw a foam solution into the eductor inlet, the foam solution mixing with the aforementioned portion of pressurized fluid in the eduction chamber to form a foam mixture.

Foam-applying nozzle

A reel apparatus includes an axle having a generally hollow fluid inlet connection and a generally hollow fluid outlet connection. A generally hollow drum is coupled to the axle, the drum having a generally circular-shaped sidewall about an elongate axis and further having a pair of generally open, opposing ends, the drum comprising a tubular element. The fluid outlet connection of the axle extends through an opening in the sidewall of the drum, and the reel apparatus is rotatable upon the axle.

Booster reel

A flow control valve element has a generally spherical ball. An inlet is formed in the ball. An outlet is also formed in the ball, the outlet opposing the inlet. A hollowed-out portion extends between the inlet and the outlet. A pair of opposing flats are formed in the ball, the flats each having a first flat portion formed in an external portion of the ball and an opposing second flat portion formed in the hollowed-out portion of the ball.

A firefighting nozzle capable of selectively producing only a solid stream, only a fog pattern or a combination of both. The passage for the fog liquid can be opened to a flushing position for flushing debris therefrom. A solid stream sleeve is removably attached to a nozzle body for allowing discharge of solid streams having different diameters. A valve ball having primary and secondary flow passages is movable to positions for supplying liquid therethrough to both solid stream and annular fog supply passages, or to only the annular fog supply passage while closing the solid stream passage.

Foam generating nozzle

Control apparatus for selectively generating and converting control input information into controlling output for position and movement of controlled apparatus. The controlled apparatus includes a fluid discharge device comprising a nozzle disposed for vertical and horizontal movement. The control apparatus comprises a control input, which further comprises a controlled apparatus position indicator, a joystick, a controlled apparatus position limit, and a switch for selecting manual and automatic position and movement; a computer, which further comprises a microprocessor; a memory for storing program, a device for receiving controlled apparatus position information and a device for generating and communicating electrical signals; first and second controlled apparatus position determining devices; first and second control remotely controlled electrically operating drive motors for adjusting and controlling movement to the controlled apparatus, and first and second current sensing devices interposed between said computer and said drive motors. A remotely controlled firefighting apparatus comprising a fluid discharge device comprising a nozzle disposed for horizontal and vertical movement and the control apparatus of the invention further comprises gearing and stop apparatus effective in maximizing accuracy of control, positioning and movement through said electrically operating drive motors, in combination with said current sensing devices.
