An elongated carrier for holding and protecting lengths of cable and hose includes a plurality of substantially identical links pivotally interconnected to one another in an end-to-end arrangement. Each link includes a pair of sidewalls and a pair of crossbars. The sidewalls has opposite upper and lower portions extending between opposite end portions and a pair of protrusions being cross-sectionally T-shaped and attached to and projecting toward one another from one of the opposite upper and lower portions of the sidewalls. Each protrusion has spaced apart opposite outer and inner portions, spaced apart opposite side portions extending between and forming outer and inner pairs of corners with the opposite outer and inner portions, and recesses defined respectively at the inner pairs of corners adjacent to the inner portion of the protrusion to provide the cross-sectional T-shape of the protrusion. The crossbars are vertically spaced apart and extend transversely between the sidewalls adjacent to the opposite upper and lower portions thereof so as to laterally space the sidewalls apart from one another. One of the crossbars is fixedly attached to and extends between the other of the opposite upper and lower portions of the sidewalls while the other of the crossbars is removable and cross-sectionally channel-shaped and has opposite ends removably snap-fittable over and partially about the outer portions and opposite side portions of the protrusions and into the pair of recesses at the one pair of corners of the protrusions.

A power supply chain comprises a plurality of power supply conduit carriers that include first and second side links and first and second cross-pieces connected between the side links to form the carrier. The cross-pieces each comprise an elongated cross-piece member having a channel extending along the length of the member and a plurality of low friction, cylindrical rollers disposed end-to-end along the length of and residing in the channel for rotation in the channel relative to the cross-piece member when in engagement with one or more power supply conduits, such as one or more cables, hoses, and the like, in the carrier.

A power supply chain comprising a plurailty of power supply conduit carriers including first and second side links and first and second cross-pieces connected between the side links to form the carrier. The cross-pieces each comprise an elongated cross-piece member having a channel extending along the length of the member and a plurality of cylindrical rollers disposed end-to-end along the length of and residing in the channel for rotation in the channel relative to the cross-piece member. One or more roller separators are disposed transversely between facing cross-piece rollers in the cross-piece channels. Each roller separator typically includes an intermediate cylindrical roller region for engaging one or more power supply conduits and cylindrical end studs or shafts that are rotatably received in corresponding bores in the facing cross-piece rollers so that the separator roller can freely rotate on the cross-piece rollers.

Apparatus for carrying one or more power conduits to a movable power consumer includes one or more power supply chains, a carriage between static and dynamic portions of the chain and movable in response to movement of the power consumer via a sheave and cable carriage drive and having rollers positioned in response to movement of the power consumer to support a dynamic portion of a power supply chain when it sags in a chain guide tray as a result of the chain travelling beyond its self-supporting travel distance. The carriage rollers have a radius substantially less that the predetermined bend radius of the chain so that a compact, light-weight, low center-of-gravity carriage is provided for movement in a chain guide tray.

The rotating cam limit switch includes a hub, a position screw arm, a position screw, a position wheel, a retractable cam, a dwell wheel, a dwell screw, a dwell screw arm, a spring wave washer and a locking ring. The hub is to be mounted on a rotating shaft which is to activate a non-rotating switch assembly. Near a first axial end, an integral position screw arm and position flange extend radially from the integral hub. The position screw arm carries a position screw, which is snap fitted onto the arm, which operatively engages the position wheel rotatably mounted on the hub next to the position screw arm. The dwell wheel is also rotatably mounted with respect to the hub. The dwell wheel is operatively engaged by the dwell screw carried by the dwell screw arm integrally formed with a dwell flange. The dwell screw arm is fixed to the hub by hub a anti-rotation device. The wave washer and the locking ring, mounted near a second axial end of the hub, compress the rotating components together. A cam chamber defined by the position and dwell wheels receives a retracted portion of the flexible elongate retractable cam. The dwell wheel operatively engages the cam to vary the length of the exposed surface of the cam. The exposed surface of the cam activates the switch of the switch assembly. Differing indicia of degree position and dwell are marked about the circumference of the position and dwell wheels.

The rotating cam limit switch includes a hub, a position screw area, a position screw, a position wheel, a retractable cam, a dwell wheel, a dwell screw, a dwell screw arm, a spring wave washer and a locking ring. The hub is to be mounted on a rotating shaft which is to activate a non-rotating switch assembly. Near a first axial end, an integral position screw arm and position flange extend radially from the integral hub. The position screw arm carries a position screw, which is snap fitted onto the arm, which operatively engages the position wheel rotatably mounted on the hub next to the position screw arm. The dwell wheel is rotatably mounted on the position wheel. The dwell wheel is operatively engaged by the dwell screw carried by the dwell screw arm integrally formed with a dwell flange. The dwell screw arm is rotatable on the hub but fixed to the position wheel. The wave washer and the locking ring, mounted near a second axial end of the hub, compress the rotating components together. A cam chamber defined by the position and dwell wheels receives a retracted portion of the flexible elongate retractable cam. The dwell wheel operatively engages the cam to vary the length of the exposed surface of the cam. The exposed surface of the cam activates the switch of the switch assembly. Differing indicia of degree position and dwell are marked about the circumference of the position and dwell wheels.
