An illustrative embodiment of the present disclosure provides hand-held power tool which includes a housing, a motor, and an output spindle. The housing supports a motor having a rotor configured to rotate when the motor is supplied with power. The output spindle protrudes from an output end of the housing, and is functionally coupled to the rotor such that the output spindle rotates in response to a rotation of the rotor. The housing also supports at least one electrical accessory that is connectable to an external power connector located on the housing.

The main board has a first face and a second face and terminating in an edge having a mounting area, the mounting area comprising at least one mounting pad on at least one of the first and the second faces. At least one connector pin is disposed in the at least one through hole and having a portion extending beyond each of the first and second faces of the connector board, wherein the edge of the main board and the second face of the connector board are abutted and the portion of the connector pin extending beyond the second face of the connector board is attached to the at least one mounting pad.

A pneumatic tool housing is provided having storage for an embedded electronic device. The pneumatic tool has a gas inlet for supplying a motive gas stream to the tool and an exhaust outlet for exhausting the motive gas stream from the tool. A compartment is provided for an electronic device wherein the compartment is in fluid communication with at least a portion of the motive gas stream. Also provided is a pneumatic tool housing having storage for an embedded electronic device with a compartment for an electronic device having at least one electrical lead wherein the compartment is covered by a component part of the pneumatic tool during operation.

A flat tilt valve for a pistol air tool, such as a pistol air screwdriver, which includes a flat tilt valve which is actuated substantially parallel to the sealing face of the flat tilt valve and which is positioned at the rear of the pistol air tool upstream of the air vane motor to create a common air path. Such a design allows the use of multiple air inlets in the same pistol air tool and makes it easy to mold or cast air inlets from both the bottom and the top and, if desired, the rear of the pistol air tool. The reconfiguration of the actuation rod on the tilt valve for a pistol air tool provides a slender profile and minimizes the overall length of the pistol air tool.

A pneumatic tool having a housing with at least one exhaust opening and a speed regulating apparatus. The speed regulating apparatus has a cap that is removably mounted on the housing and has at least one exhaust port in fluid communication with the at least one exhaust opening. A control ring is provided having at least one aperture in fluid communication with and rotatably mounted over the at least one exhaust port, with the control ring being movable to variably open and close the at least one exhaust port.
