A blower includes a housing including an inlet and an outlet, a bearing-housing structure provided to the housing and adapted to rotatably support a rotor, a motor provided to the bearing-housing structure and adapted to drive the rotor, and an impeller provided to the rotor. The bearing-housing structure includes a bearing shaft having a bearing surface that rotatably supports the rotor. The bearing shaft provides only a single bearing of the non-ball bearing type for the rotor.

A flow generator includes a housing, a blower structured to generate a flow of pressurized breathable air, and a suspension device to support the blower within the housing and provide a pressure seal between low and high pressure sides of the blower. The suspension device includes a bellows-like portion provided along the perimeter of the blower to absorb shock applied at least radially to the blower and one or more cones provided along upper and/or lower sides of the blower to absorb shock applied at least axially to the blower.

A trans-fill method and system comprising obtaining therapeutic gas from a therapeutic gas source, compressing the therapeutic gas from the therapeutic gas source in at least two stages to create an intermediate therapeutic gas stream and a high pressure therapeutic gas stream, supplying therapeutic gas to a patient from the intermediate therapeutic gas stream, and filling a cylinder with the therapeutic gas from the high pressure therapeutic gas stream substantially simultaneously with supplying therapeutic gas to the patient.

An in-home stationary oxygen delivery system provides oxygen to patients by way of a standard oxygen concentration process and delivers the oxygen to a patient through industry standard ports such as the CGA-870 port. A unique fill nozzle is used to fill the ambulatory cylinders from the in-home oxygen concentration. A valve for the ambulatory cylinder provides a unique fill port for mating with the nozzle of the stationary unit while at the same time allowing the oxygen in the charged cylinder to be dispensed through a CGA-870 standard industry port. The valve utilizes check valves to prevent filling of the cylinders through the CGA-870 port.
