The present inventions are related to systems and methods for data processing, and more particularly to systems and methods for priority based data processing with soft guaranteed global processing iterations.

Quality based priority data processing with soft guaranteed iteration

The present invention is a method and system for reducing miscorrections of data in a post-processor. In an embodiment of the invention, the system and method may compare a result of an exact match function and a metric for each row of a reconstructed data block to determine if a correction should be made. An algorithm for performing an exact match function may include a column parity check syndrome, a matched filter error syndrome, and an error mask of the present invention. If a result of an exact match function is an exact match, a priority of correction may be given to the row in which the exact match was produced.

Method of reducing miscorrections in a post-processor using column parity checks

An apparatus comprising a sampler circuit and a filter circuit. The sampler circuit may be configured to generate a digital signal in response to a pre-amplified signal. The filter circuit may be configured to generate a track ID signal in response to the digital signal. The filter circuit may also be configured to (i) improve or increase signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and (ii) reject DC offset errors.

Filter for disk drive bi-phase servo demodulation

An image sensor having an integrated address controller for use in an electronic camera. Providing both functions on a single integrated circuit reduces the number of external pins and external circuitry required to process an image. The integrated address controller also provides several addressing modes allowing for programmable format data transfer from the image sensor. This integrated controller not only allows addressing the sensor array in a raster scan, but it also allows other addressing modes including block addressing (useful for block based compression methods like JPEG, MPEG or H.261) and region addressing (by which one could implement pan and tilt functions). Thus, this sensor and address controller combination provides data in the format required for higher level functions, as opposed to forcing the user to convert raster scan to an appropriate format using complicated external circuitry.

Programmably addressable image sensor

An apparatus having a first filter means for adjusting an input signal based on past data output from the apparatus. In addition, a summing means is used to sum signals from the first filter means and from a second filter means to produce a sum signal. The apparatus includes a symbol detection means for generating an output signal from the sum signal. The second filter means provides adjustments in the output signal based on the peaks and plurality of past signals generated by the symbol detection means. A control means is included for controlling the filtering properties of both the first and second filter means, wherein the control means controls the filtering properties based on the past output signals from the symbol detection means.

Decision based time-varying equalizers

The invention concerns storage of correction tables for digitizing tablets. A digitizing tablet produces data indicative of position of a stylus. The data does not, in general, exactly indicate the position; errors exist. For example, a tablet may produce a data pair indicating a Cartesian position of (5.0, 6.0) when the position is actually (4.9, 6.1). Correction tables are used to correct the errors. These tables may be viewed as containing correct data for each possible pair of data produced by the tablet. Thus, in this example, a user would (a) receive (5.0, 6.0) from the tablet, (b) look up this data in the table, and (c) find that the actual position which corresponds to this data is (4.9, 6.1). The invention concerns compression of such tables, to reduce storage space.
