Techniques for determining a mineralogy of a portion of a drainage basin include identifying topography data associated with a drainage basin comprising at least one body of water; identifying weather data associated with the drainage basin; identifying first sensor data associated with a first water sensor installed in the drainage basin; identifying second sensor data associated with a second water sensor that is located downstream of the first water sensor in the drainage basin; providing the first sensor data, second sensor data, topography data, and weather data as input to a machine learning algorithm; and determining, by the machine learning algorithm, a mineralogy of a portion of the drainage basin.

This disclosure describes a system and method for generating images and location data of a subsurface object using existing infrastructure as a source. Many infrastructure objects (e.g., pipes, cables, conduits, wells, foundation structures) are constructed of rigid materials and have a known shape and location. Additionally these infrastructure objects can have exposed portions that are above or near the surface and readily accessible. A signal generator can be affixed to the exposed portion of the infrastructure object, which induces acoustic energy, or vibrations in the object. The object with affixed signal generator can then be used as a source in performing a subsurface imaging of subsurface objects, which are not exposed.

Systems and methods for detecting a mechanical disturbance are disclosed. One of the method may comprise the operation steps including: transmitting, by a transmitter, a pulse at a preset frequency along a first cable; receiving, by a receiver, a plurality of signals, wherein each of the plurality of signals travels along the first cable and a second cable connected to the receiver for a corresponding span; calculating one or more differential phases, wherein each differential phase is calculated based on respective phases and the corresponding spans of two of the plurality of signals; and determining a localization of the mechanical disturbance based on the one or more differential phases.

Detecting seismic events using multispan signals

This disclosure describes a system and method for generating a subsurface model representing lithological characteristics and attributes of the subsurface of a celestial body or planet. By automatically ingesting data from many sources, a machine learning system can infer information about the characteristics of regions of the subsurface and build a model representing the subsurface rock properties. In some cases, this can provide information about a region using inferred data, where no direct measurements have been taken. Remote sensing data, such as aerial or satellite imagery, gravimetric data, magnetic field data, electromagnetic data, and other information can be readily collected or is already available at scale. Lithological attributes and characteristics present in available geoscience data can be correlated with related remote sensing data using a machine learning model, which can then infer lithological attributes and characteristics for regions where remote sensing data is available, but geoscience data is not.

This disclosure describes a system and method for generating images by performing TEM surveys using pre-existing infrastructure such as transmission lines, or power lines, and naturally occurring transients such as lightning strikes or load switching. A relatively inexpensive sensor array can be installed on overhead power lines (e.g., electrical transmission or sub-transmission lines) which can detect transients in the overhead power lines. Transients in the overhead power lines can cause the power lines to emit pulses of electromagnetic (EM) radiation, which propagate into the earth's subsurface. This sudden change in electromagnetic field in the subsurface can induce eddy currents, which in turn emit return EM radiation that can propagate back to the overhead power line and induce secondary voltage and current transients. The magnitude of these secondary transients, and their time delay from the original transient are influenced by the properties of the subsurface in which the eddy currents formed.

A method for ship ballasting includes receiving, at a carbon negative energy storage system, input comprising calcium oxide and water and reacting, within a reaction chamber of the carbon negative energy storage system, the calcium oxide and water to release energy and generate calcium hydroxide. The method includes directing, by the carbon negative energy storage system, the released energy to a requesting end user and providing, by the carbon negative energy storage system, the calcium hydroxide to a marine vessel ballasting system. The method includes releasing a mixture of the calcium hydroxide and ballast water from the marine vessel ballasting system into the ocean to sequester atmospheric CO.

A method for energy generation includes receiving, at a carbon negative energy generation system, input including calcium oxide and water and reacting, within a reaction chamber of the carbon negative energy generation system, the calcium oxide and water to release energy and generate calcium hydroxide. The method further includes directing, by the carbon negative energy generation system, the released energy to facilitate propulsion or onboard electricity generation and dispensing, by the carbon negative energy generation system, the calcium hydroxide into the ocean to sequester atmospheric CO.

Each column anchor has a plurality of fins facing in different directions from one another and a conical tip. The kit also includes first and second columns individually receivable in one of the first and second column anchors and selectively removable. Each of the columns has a plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of sets of eye-bolts and nuts, each individually receivable in one of the plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of cable members having latches or S-hooks at both ends and a stretchable member extending between the latches or S-hooks.

The tool creeper is a rectangular box of a predetermined size related to work area requirements. The tool creeper has a plurality of compartments and drawers to accommodate tools. A plurality of creeper wheels having mounts are attached in a spatial relationship on the outside of a bottom panel to provide tool creeper movement that can readily follow a similar movement of the mechanic in a work space. Additionally, a proximal top surface has a pivotally attached lid for easy access and securement of the contents inside the tool creeper. On the rear of the tool creeper is a power cord socket to provide AC and DC power available for use in the work area. AC and DC power outlets are provided at a side panel of the tool creeper. A work area illumination light is provided along a rear top surface of the tool creeper.
