A method of quantifying resolution times through external networks includes receiving, from an external network, a transmission indicating an incident. The transmission includes a first time at which an indication of the incident was posted to the external network. The method may also include generating an incident record associated with the incident, submitting the incident record to an incident management process to resolve the incident, and receiving an indication that the incident is resolved. The method may additionally include submitting a request to the external network to post the indication that the incident is resolved, and receiving, from the external network, a second time at which the indication that the incident is resolved was posted by the external network.

Intermediate process for integrating external social network incidents into an incident management pipeline

A multiple exchange instance for facilitating business to business e-commerce. The multiple exchange instance includes a plurality of exchanges. Each of the plurality of exchanges are implemented within a common instance. The plurality of exchanges share a set of common components to avoid redundancy. The plurality of exchanges are each provided with a respective view having respective unique components asked her the requirements of their respective exchange operators. The multiple exchanges within the common instance facilitate communication between the exchanges. The multiple exchanges each have their respective users, and the common instance allows the users to perform input/output using the common components. The multiple exchanges are configured to use communication protocols to communicate with processes external to the common instance. The common instance is implemented using a database program running on one or more computer systems.

Method and system for implementing multiple exchanges within a common instance

A method for automatic auction extension and user controlled standardized bid increment/decrement. The method is implemented in an electronic commerce exchange. The auction method implements automatic extension of an auction in response to bidding activity from auction participants. The method includes the step of setting an end time for concluding the auction. Bids are received from remote bidders via a distributed computer network. The received bids are analyzed to determine whether a predetermined number of bids are received within a predetermined time of the auction end time. If a greater number of bids are received within the predetermined time, the duration of the auction is automatically extended and a new auction end time is set. The auction participants are notified of the new auction end time. Standardized bid increments can be set defining a minimum amount at which a subsequent bid differs from a previous bid. Similarly, standardized bid decrements can be set defining a minimum amount at which a subsequent bid subsequent bid differs from a previous bid. A total number of possible extensions can be set defining a number of times the auction can be extended due to bidding activity. The settings can be changed dynamically during the auction by the auction operator/user.
