Each tubular portion extends from the manifold portion to a distal end which is structured to be coupled to the patient interface device. Each tubular portion is structured to communicate the flow of breathing gas from the manifold portion to the patient interface device. Each tubular portion comprises an adjustment element which provides for a characteristic of the tubular portion to be selectively varied.

The valve arrangement further includes a guard member () having a coupling portion () and a protecting portion () extending from the coupling portion of the guard member. The coupling portion of the guard member is structured to be coupled to the frame portion. When the blocking portion of the valve member moves from the first position toward the second position, the blocking portion moves toward the protecting portion of the guard member.

The casing and the bottom cap define a space. A fill material is disposed in the space defined by the casing and the bottom cap, wherein the casing is structured to deform and conform to a shape of a portion of the nostril when the nostril applies pressure to the casing.
