A radially flexible connection joint for a gas turbine engine includes an exhaust manifold flange operatively coupling an exhaust cylinder to an exhaust manifold of the gas turbine engine. The exhaust cylinder includes a cylindrical flange that extends radially outwardly from a rotation axis of the gas turbine. The cylindrical flange defines a downstream axial face. The exhaust manifold is positioned downstream from the exhaust cylinder. The exhaust manifold includes an upstream edge. The exhaust cylinder and the exhaust manifold are substantially coaxial with the rotation axis of the gas turbine. The exhaust manifold flange has a bellows portion that extends radially between the cylindrical flange of the exhaust cylinder and the upstream edge of the exhaust manifold. The bellows portion permits relative radial motion of the exhaust cylinder and the exhaust manifold.

The present invention relates to a system and method for joining adjacent sections of a compressor diaphragm. A splitline jumper is positioned within a recessed portion of a seal ring segment of the adjacent compressor diaphragms. The splitline jumper is sized and oriented so as to prevent axial movement of the compressor diaphragms relative to each other and also to prevent rotational movement of the seal ring relative to the diaphragm.

A system and method for securing a blade within a disk so as to eliminate the need for permanently deforming materials associated with the blade disk is disclosed. A recess is formed generally within each slot used to secure a blade within the disk. A retaining insert is positioned within the recess and a wedge insert is positioned within a slot of the retaining insert, such that a pressure is applied to the retaining insert thereby deflecting the retaining insert into a pre-set radial position to prevent axial movement of the blade within the slot of the disk.
