A fixture that includes an electro-mechanical (EM) element; a communication interface; a processor; and a computer-readable storage media coupled to the processor and having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising: receiving, from a service via the communication interface, parameters for scheduling an operation of the fixture; determining, based on the parameters, a plurality of commands for the EM element and a respective time to execute each of the commands; providing, at the respective time, each of the commands to the respective EM element for execution; providing, via the communication interface, an indication of completion of the operation of the fixture to the service.

A backflow preventer assembly for a water management system includes a backflow preventer, an upstream shutoff valve, a downstream shutoff valve, a flow path, a pressure meter, and a flow meter. The upstream shutoff valve is positioned upstream from the backflow preventer. The downstream shutoff valve is positioned downstream from the backflow preventer. The flow path is defined at least partially through the backflow preventer, the upstream shutoff valve, and the downstream shutoff valve. The pressure meter includes a pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is in fluid communication with the flow path. The flow meter includes a flow sensor. The flow sensor is in fluid communication with the flow path.

One system includes fixtures comprising: a communication interface; and a processor configured to optimize download efficiency by: receiving, from a remote device via the communication interface, a file comprising a plurality of data blocks, wherein each of the plurality of data blocks comprise a unique cyclical redundancy check (CRC) value and a payload; determining, for each of the plurality of data blocks, a check value based on a polynomial division of the respective payload; determining an error in at least one of the plurality of data blocks based on a comparison between each of the respective CRC values and the respective check values; and providing, to the remote device via the communication interface, a request for retransmission of each of the at least one of the plurality of data blocks with the determined error.
