A rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror element including a first substrate having a first surface and a second surface. A reflector is disposed adjacent to one of the first and second surfaces. The rearview mirror assembly further includes a lighting subassembly includes a light source and a diffuser. The light source is operable to project light through the mirror element. The diffuser is disposed between the light source and the mirror element. The light source comprises a plurality of micro light-emitting diodes arranged in a light shape representing a display icon such that the display icon is projected through the mirror element without any influence on the shape caused by any other component of the mirror element.

A vehicle control system comprising an image sensor operable to capture image data corresponding to a field of view rearward of a vehicle. The vehicle control system further comprises a processor in communication with the image sensor. The processor is operable to receive the image data from the image sensor, analyze the image data and based on the analyzed image data, identify at least one characteristic of a trailing vehicle. The processor is operable to generate a control signal to adjust an illumination pattern of at least one taillight of the vehicle.

System and method for a vehicle control system

The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods of enabling and disabling a functionality of a trainable transceiver. The trainable transceiver may include a plurality of buttons, a control circuit, and a locking mechanism. The plurality of buttons may cause the control circuit to control one or more functions of a remote device. The control circuit may compare a sequence of inputs on the plurality of buttons to a predetermined sequence. The control circuit may acquire a sensor reading and compare the sensor reading to predetermined data. The locking mechanism may enable or disable operation of the control circuit in controlling the one or more functions of the remote device, responsive to a determination that the sequence of inputs matches the predetermined sequence and the sensor reading matches the predetermined data.

A roof mounted module for a vehicle includes a base plate configured to be operably coupled with a vehicle roof. An outer housing operably coupled with the base plate. An inner housing proximate the outer housing, including an imager sealing portion defining a sealing plane. The inner housing defines an inner cavity. An imager module is disposed in the cavity and is in communication with a viewing aperture defined through the outer housing. An imager mounting feature is disposed between the imager module and the inner housing. The imager mounting feature applies a force acting in a direction normal to the sealing plane.
