A single monolithic body extends in a longitudinal direction and includes multiple closed sections stacked vertically. A first end portion of the single monolithic body extends from one of the closed sections into an adjacent closed section, and a second end portion of the single monolithic body extends from one of the closed sections, along an exterior of an adjacent closed section, and laterally away from the single monolithic body to form a connecting flange.

Mounting structure for electric vehicle

A vehicle includes a vehicle frame. The vehicle frame includes a frame rail elongated along a vehicle-longitudinal axis that defines a hole. The vehicle includes a trailer hitch mount supported by the frame rail. The vehicle includes a face plate supported by the trailer hitch mount that defines an opening extending through the face plate that is aligned with the hole of the frame rail. The trailer hitch mount extends through the opening and is completely surrounded by the face plate. The trailer hitch mount extends into the hole of the frame rail along the vehicle-longitudinal axis.

A vehicle puddle lamp assembly is provided herein. The vehicle puddle lamp assembly includes a housing having a housing retainer. A light source is supported by the housing. A cover is removably coupled to a base portion of the housing. An optical member is disposed between the housing and the cover. The optical member may include an image filter thereon. The image filter is configured to form a desired image pattern on a surface proximate the housing.

Adjustable mount apparatus for use with vehicles and related methods are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a mount for a vehicle. The mount has a first portion to receive an object to be carried by the mount and a second portion that is pivotably coupled to the first portion. The second portion is to slidably couple to a right or left side of the vehicle.

A bumper assembly includes a beam and a rigid device. The beam is at least partially spaced from a vehicle fascia. The rigid device is disposed on the beam in a space defined between the fascia and the beam. The rigid device is configured to transmit and at least partially absorb a force applied to the fascia and limit damage to a rear of the vehicle. The exemplary bumper assembly may further include at least one crush can disposed on the beam. The rigid device is generally aligned with the crush can but on opposing surfaces of the beam.

Rigid device for low speed damageability of vehicles

An impact absorption assembly includes a bumper that is attached to a crush-can. The crush-can is assembled within a frame rail or other chassis frame member. A load path for a low speed impact is provided from the bumper through the crush-can and to the frame rail. An outer body structure defines an opening through which the crush-can is assembled to avoid damage to the outer body structure that may include a back-light support panel, a lift-gate and a rear tail light.

A motor vehicle includes a frame with energy-absorbing zones at outboard corners of the vehicle and a bumper beam mounted to the energy-absorbing zones to transfer force to at least one of the energy-absorbing zones during a collision. The bumper beam includes a center section extending generally laterally across the vehicle between the energy-absorbing zones, and left and right load transfer sections attached to outboard ends of the center section. Each load transfer section extends outboard and rearward such that the free end of each load transfer section is disposed outboard of the frame adjacent a rear end of its respective energy-absorbing zone. In a small-overlap collision, the load transfer section on the side of the impact bends rearward as the energy-absorbing zone deforms, and the free end of the load transfer section contacts the frame to transfer crash loads to the frame.
