This disclosure provides methods and compositions for identifyingplants that have a native deletion of the INDEHISCENT gene (BnIND-A) located on chromosome A of. Also provided are methods of improving one or more agronomic characteristics such as pod shatter and breeding methods for introducing a pod shatter tolerant phenotype inplants and/or their progeny.

Pod shatter tolerance inplants

The field is related to plant breeding and methods of identifying and selecting plants with resistance to anthracnose stalk rot. Provided are methods to identify novel genes that encode proteins providing plant resistance to anthracnose stalk rot and uses thereof. These disease resistant genes are useful in the production of resistant plants through breeding, transgenic modification, or genome editing.

Methods of identifying, selecting, and producing anthracnose stalk rot resistant crops

Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. Plant derived insecticidal proteins and methods for their use

Head smut is one of the most devastating diseases in maize, causing severe yield loss worldwide. The present invention describes the fine-mapping of a major QTL conferring resistance to head smut. Markers useful for breeding, and methods for conferring head smut resistance are described. Nucleic acid sequence from the genetic locus conferring head smut resistance is disclosed. Genes encoding proteins conferring head smut resistance are disclosed.

Genetic loci associated with head smut resistance in maize

This invention relates generally to the detection of genetic differences among soybeans. More particularly, soybean quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with herbicide tolerance, including tolerance to one or more of an HPPD-inhibitor herbicide, such as mesotrione and isoxazole herbicides, and/or a PPO inhibitor herbicide; soybean plants possessing these QTLs; and genetic markers that are indicative of phenotypes associated with such herbicide tolerance are provided. Polynucleotide and polypeptide sequences associated with herbicide tolerance

This invention relates generally to the detection of genetic differences among soybeans.
