One or more keywords associated with a domain are received. The performance of content selected based on the one or more keywords is evaluated against performance of content selected based on a automatic selection process. A determination is made based on the evaluation as to whether to utilize the automatic selection process or the one or more keywords for selecting content for the domain.

A request including a domain name is received. Content associated with the domain name is identified in a cache. A language preference is determined based on the identified content. A content item is selected based on the identified content and the determined language preference. The selected content item is relevant to the identified content.

Targeting advertisements based on cached contents

A method and system for allowing a resource associated with a target document usable for ad rendering by a first entity to be used for rendering of content by a second entity. Depending on one or more conditions, the first entity either uses the resource to render at least one ad or allows a second entity to use at least a portion of the resource to render content.

In response to receiving a user selection of the advertisement presentation, a customized advertisement presentation is rendered in an advertisement-related site hosted by the content publisher based on the user selection and the customization settings.
