Proposed is a clothes folding machine, which includes a case, a loading unit disposed at an upper portion of the case and conveying a clothes item gripped by grippers into the case, a folding unit including a longitudinal-line folder folding both sleeves of the clothes item conveyed by the loading unit in a width direction and a transverse-line folder longitudinally folding the clothes item several times, and an unloading unit disposed at a lower portion of the case and conveying the clothes item folded by the folding unit outside the case.

A garment folding apparatus serves to fold a garment while conveying the garment. The garment folding apparatus includes a loading assembly configured to load a garment, a folding assembly configured to fold the loaded garment while conveying the garment, and an unloading assembly disposed below the folding assembly and configured to unload a completely folded garment. The folding assembly includes a first conveyor configured to convey the garment in a horizontal direction, a second conveyor disposed to be spaced apart from the first conveyor in the horizontal direction, and a horizontal folding assembly including a folding bar configured to be inserted into a separation space between the first conveyor and the second conveyor, where an inclined surface of the first conveyor and an inclined surface of the second conveyor face each other, such that various horizontal folding processes are performed within a limited space.

A folding assembly constituting the garment folding apparatus includes a vertical folding layer having a conveyor and configured to vertically fold the loaded garment by using a drive motor, a horizontal folding layer disposed below the vertical folding layer, having a conveyor, and configured to horizontally fold the loaded garment by using a drive motor, and sensor units provided in the vertical folding layer and the horizontal folding layer and configured to detect the garment so as to check whether the garment is loaded, a length of the garment, and whether the garment is folded.

The present disclosure relates to a clothes folding device including: a loading assembly which causes the clothes to be pushed-in and seats the clothes on a first folding layer equipped with a conveyor for transport; a folding assembly which performs the folding of the clothes while the pushed-in clothes are transported; and an unloading assembly which is disposed below the folding assembly and loads the clothes discharged by the folding assembly. A laundry treating apparatus includes: a tub; a drum; an agitator disposed in the drum; a stator; a rotor configured to rotate relative to the stator; a drum-rotating shaft coupled to the drum; an agitator-rotating shaft coupled to the rotor and the agitator; a first serration disposed at an end of the agitator-rotating shaft; a second serration disposed at an end of the drum-rotating shaft; a fixed body fixed between the tub and the rotor; a support body rotatably disposed within the fixed body; a body-driving system configured to move the support body relative to the fixed body; and a shaft-joint configured to reciprocate between a first point and a second point of the support body. The shaft-joint is configured to engage the first serration to the second serration at the first point, and decouple the first serration from the second serration at the second point.

The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling a garment folding machine, which may effectively prevent damage to a drive motor and a loss of power caused by an overload of the drive motor by accurately detecting and determining a situation in which garments are lumped during a process of conveying or folding the garments, may effectively prevent damage to the lumped garments and related components, and may significantly reduce the time for which the operation of the folding machine is stopped by accurately specifying the position at which the garments are lumped and then notifying a user of the position to allow the user to take an immediate action.

The method comprises a water current forming step comprising performing a basket motion and a pulsate motion and a cooling step comprising lowering the temperature of the drive unit. The pulsate motion is configured to form water current in wash water held in the drum while the pulsator is driven. A performance timing of the cooling step is preset in at least one of the wash cycle or the rinse cycle.
