A depth image-based representation (DIBR) method of modeling a 3-dimensional (3D) object, by which the 3D object is expressed by depth information, color information, and camera parameters or geometry information, color information, and camera parameters. The camera parameters include position, orientation, ranges of camera view or angle (fieldOfView), front and back of a camera volume (nearPlane and farPlane) and projection information(orthographic) on whether an object is projected on a camera orthographically or perspectively, and, when at least one of modeling and rendering of a 3D object is performed, values of the camera parameters are changed in real time.

Provided are an apparatus and method for triangulating a three-dimensional (3D) image, and a computer-readable recording medium storing a computer program for controlling the apparatus. The apparatus includes: a surface expression unit expressing the surface of the 3D image as triangles without holes; and an information output unit outputting a result obtained by the surface expression unit. A method and/or apparatus for high speed visualization of depth image-based 3D graphic data. The method includes: reading point texture data of a 3D object; performing a 3D warping for each of the reference images of the simple texture data at a predetermined view point to obtain warped images; performing a depth test and a splatting for each pixel of the plurality of warped images to obtain final color data; and visualizing an object by using the final color data. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce memory usage and increase the number of visualization per a second and to effectively implement visualization of 3D graphic object in, particularly, a mobile terminal.
