A display device includes a lower substrate, a pixel defining layer, a light emitting layer, an upper substrate, and a light blocking layer. The pixel defining layer is disposed on the lower substrate and includes a first opening and a second opening spaced apart from the first opening in a first direction. The light emitting layer is disposed in each of the first opening and the second opening. The upper substrate is disposed on the light emitting layer. The light blocking layer is disposed on the upper substrate and includes a third opening partially exposing the first opening and a fourth opening partially exposing the second opening. Display device

A display device includes a display panel including a first pixel area and a second pixel area. The first pixel area includes a first pixel, a second pixel, and a third pixel, and the second pixel area includes a fourth pixel, a fifth pixel, and a sixth pixel. The first pixel and the second pixel are arranged to be adjacent to each other in a first direction, and the third pixel is arranged to be adjacent to the first pixel and the second pixel in a second direction that intersects the first direction. The third pixel and the fourth pixel emitting a same color are arranged to be adjacent to each other in the second direction, the fifth pixel is spaced apart from the first pixel in the second direction, and the sixth pixel is spaced apart from the second pixel in the second direction.

A semiconductor nanoparticle for a color conversion member of a display device includes: a central portion including at least one of i) InP, ii) a ternary compound consisting of indium, phosphorus, and one element of Groups I-VII, and iii) InP doped with at least one transition metal of Groups I-VII; an inner portion proximate to the central portion and including a phosphide of at least one of boron, aluminum, and gallium; a middle portion proximate to the inner portion and including at least one of ZnSe and ZnSeS; and an outer portion proximate to the middle portion and including one or more compounds of Groups II-VI, wherein x is 0<x<1.

A display device includes: a first base layer; a circuit element layer on the first base layer; a pixel definition layer on the circuit element layer and comprising a plurality of light-emitting openings which are spaced apart from each other and define a plurality of light-emitting regions; a second base layer spaced apart from and facing the first base layer; a light-shielding layer on the second base layer and comprising a plurality of openings respectively overlapping the light-emitting regions, wherein on a plane of the first base layer, shapes of first to third openings along one direction among the openings are different from each other.

A display device includes a first substrate, a pixel structure, a first optical filter, a first-color filter, a second optical filter, a second-color filter, and a second substrate. The pixel structure is disposed between the first substrate and each of the optical filters. The first-color filter is disposed on the first optical filter and has a first refractive index.
