An apparatus for opening and closing a sliding armrest console, in which it is easy to access a console storage space by inserting an armrest into an armrest console in a state in which the console is opened, may include an armrest rotating about a main hinge, a console, an upper portion of which is closed by the armrest, a first guide groove formed for guiding a movement direction of an auxiliary hinge positioned at the armrest when the armrest rotates, and a main guide groove formed in a vertical direction of the console such that the main hinge moves along the main guide groove, wherein when the main hinge moves along the main guide groove, the auxiliary hinge moves along a second guide groove, which is vertically connected to the first guide groove, so that the armrest is inserted into the console.

A center console armrest is provided for preventing an armrest from being interfered with an external wall of a center console when the armrest is opened by forming a proximal end portion of the armrest that can be further rotated and inserted into the internal to the console when the armrest is opened, may include an armrest configured to be opened on an upper portion of the center console; a lead portion rotatable about a main hinge disposed inside the center console to cause the armrest to be opened; an armrest hinge configured to connect the lead portion and the armrest; a lower end portion protrusion disposed inside a proximal end portion of the armrest to be inserted into the center console; and a guide rail for guiding movement of the lower end portion protrusion.

A center console armrest assembly for a vehicle may include an armrest allowing an upper portion of a center console to be open, an armrest core configured to rotate about a main hinge positioned in the center console, together with the armrest, and a fixed lever fixed into the center console, the main hinge being positioned at the fixed lever, wherein the armrest slides along the armrest core to be inserted into the center console in a state in which the armrest is opened.
