A method, system, and computer program product are provided. A web service learns multiple commands and respective parameters associated therewith for a command line interface application based on the web service providing the respective command and the any respective parameters associated therewith to a command line interface application. A command and each corresponding parameter received for the command line interface application are validated based on the learned commands and respective parameters and provided to the command line interface application. Each of the validated parameters are provided in response to the web service receiving from the command line interface application respective indications for more input. A successful indication is provided to an originator of the new input in response to the web service receiving a successful indication from the command line interface application.

Learning commands and parameters for an interactive command line interface

A query controller accesses a cache comprising information related to data that is newly added to a database, responsive to detecting a data extraction application is ready to query the database for at least one data extraction rule. The information is added to the cache for each new data event received by a data processing application, prior to the data processing application adding the data parsed from each new data event to the database. The query controller evaluates each data extraction rule against the information in the cache to determine whether the information is relevant to at least one data extraction rule. The query controller sends a separate query by the data extraction application to the database only for any particular data extraction rules to which the information is relevant, such that the query controller reduces the number of queries sent for each query period to only queries based on data extraction rules that need to be reevaluated based on the information updated about data that is newly added to the database.

Efficient data extraction by a remote application

Computer implemented method, system and computer usable program code for facilitating utilization of data. A computer implemented method for facilitating utilization of data includes receiving data, wherein the received data is in a first representation. The received data is converted from the first representation to a common representation that is mapped to the first representation using an external configuration file. The common representation of the data is output to facilitate utilization of the data.
