An interactive method and system include at least one detector () configured to detect glazes of at least one viewer () looking at items (). A processor () is configured to calculate gaze durations, such as cumulative gaze durations per item of the items, identify the most looked at item(s) in accordance with the cumulative gaze durations, and provide information related to the most looked at items. A display device () displays the information, a list of the most looked at items, representations of the most looked at items, and/or audio/visual show related to at least one item of the most looked at items. At least one item () and/or item representation may be displayed more prominently than others ones of the most looked at items and/or item representations.

Gaze interaction for information display of gazed items

A highlighting method and an interaction system () include at least one controllable light emitting source () linked to an item (); and a processor () configured to turn on the controllable light emitting source () in response to user selection of the item (). The controllable light emitting source () may be embedded in a mat () or a strip (). The mat () may include a matrix of photo detectors or pressure sensors configured to detect the base or footprint of the item () when placed on the mat (). The periphery of the product or the footprint may be illuminated upon selecting the product. Alternatively or additionally, a background surface behind the product may be illuminated upon selection thereof.

Light feedback on physical object selection

A highlighting method and an interaction system () include a switchable mirror () facing a first side of an item () having a second side facing a viewer (); and a processor () configured to perform switching the mirror from a transparent or non-transparent state to a reflective state so that said first side of said item () becomes visible to the viewer () through reflection from the switchable mirror (). A light source () is configured to provide incident light to the switchable mirror () for reflection from the switchable mirror () in the reflective state for illuminating the first side of the item ().

Mirror feedback upon physical object selection

An interactive method and system include at least one detector () configured to detect the position of at least one user () in proximity of a panel (), such as a transparent panel of a shop window (). A processor () is provided which may be configured to activate a portion of the panel to display information. This portion, referred to as a private screen (), may be substantially near the user's position. The processor () may be further be configured to move the private screen () so that it follows movement of the user (). When a second user () is detected, then a second private screen () is activated substantially near the second user (). The location of the second private screen () relative the location of the first screen () is such that interference is reduced between the two users or screens.

Private screens self distributing along the shop window

In a device for location positioning, and more particularly, in a system for identifying an environmental source emitting a base frequency and waveform signal, a sensor () records an environmental source () emitting a base frequency and waveform signal, the signal being amplified (), digitized (), processed and compared () with a stored unique waveform characteristic. On the basis of the comparison result(s), location positioning and/or a device orientation may be determined.
