The present invention relates to relates to a polymer formulation for three-dimensionally (3D) printing an article by stereolithography, the formulation comprising a functionalized polymer. The invention further relates to lithographic methods to form 3D objects that incorporate the aforementioned polymer formulation.

The invention relates to a foam material (FP) comprising a polymer composition (C) comprising at least a polyphenylene sulfide polymer (PPS) and at least one functionalized elastomer (E). The present invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of said foam material and to an article (A) including said foam material (FP), for example a composite material.

A foam material made from a composition [composition (C)] comprising at least one high temperature poly(aryl ether sulfone) (PAES) polymer characterized in that the PAES polymer comprises from 1 to 99% by weight amount of at least one recurring unit (R) [(R&#x2212;1)]) based on the total amount of recurring units, and from 1 to 99% by weight amount of at least one recurring unit (R) [(R&#x2212;2)], based on the total amount of recurring units, and wherein said (R&#x2212;2) recurring unit is different from the (R&#x2212;1) recurring unit.

High temperature sulfone (HTS) foam materials

A polymer composition having improved processing properties, in particular improved crystallization behavior, comprising a semi-aromatic polyamide and a graphene material. The graphene material may be a nano-graphene platelet. The semi-aromatic polyamide may comprise recurring units obtainable by a polycondensation reaction between at least one aromatic diamine and at least one non-aromatic diacid or derivatives thereof and/or recurring units obtainable by a polycondensation reaction between at least one aromatic diacid or derivatives thereof and at least one non-aromatic diamine. The composition may further comprise a polyamide different than the semi-aromatic polyamide. The composition may further comprise a filler.

A polymer composition comprising two polyamides and a substance comprising alkylene oxide moieties. At least one of the polyamides in the composition may be a semi-aromatic polyamide, of which more than 50 mole % of the recurring units are obtainable by a polycondensation reaction between at least one non-aromatic diacid or derivative thereof and at least one aromatic diamine.

Polyamide compositions comprising a substance comprising alkylene oxide moieties

Fluoroplastics containing fluorocarbon resins and silicones are prepared by first mixing a fluorocarbon resin with a compatibilizer, then adding a curable organopolysiloxane with a radical initiator, and vulcanizing the organopolysiloxane in the mixture. The fluoroplastics can be processed by various techniques, such as extrusion, vacuum forming, injection molding, blow molding or compression molding, to fabricate plastic parts. The resulting fabricated parts can be re-processed (recycled) with little or no degradation of mechanical properties.

Fluoroplastic silicone vulcanizates

A method is disclosed for preparing an elastomeric base composition comprising: (I) mixing by an extrusion process (A) a fluorocarbon elastomer with (B) an optional compatibilizer, (C) an optional catalyst (D) a silicone base comprising a curable organopolysiloxane, (E), an optional crosslinking agent (F) a cure agent in an amount sufficient to cure said organopolysiloxane; and (II) dynamically vulcanizing the organopolysiloxane, wherein the weight ratio of fluorocarbon elastomer (A) to silicone base (B) in the elastomeric base composition ranges from 95:5 to 30:70. The cured rubber compositions obtained from the elastomeric base compositions herein have good fuel resistance properties.

A method is disclosed for preparing an elastomeric base composition comprising: (I) mixing (A) a fluorocarbon elastomer with (B) a compatibilizer, (C) an optional catalyst, (II) mixing the product of step (I) with (D) a silicone base comprising a curable organopolysiloxane, (E), an optional crosslinking agent, (F) a cure agent in an amount sufficient to cure said organopolysiloxane; and (III) dynamically vulcanizing the organopolysiloxane, wherein the weight ratio of fluorocarbon elastomer (A) to silicone base (B) in the elastomeric base composition ranges from 95:5 to 30:70. The cured rubber compositions obtained from the elastomeric base compositions herein have good fuel resistance properties.

A hydrosilylation reaction curable composition including a silsesquioxane polymer, a cross-linking compound, a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst and colloidal silica having a surface coating formed thereon. The curable composition is cured to form a cured resin having high fracture toughness and strength without the loss of elastic modulus and glass transition temperature.
