An organic light emitting diode display device includes a substrate having an active area and a non-active area, a light emitting diode in the active area, a sealing layer over the light emitting diode, at least one lens pattern over the sealing layer, the at least one lens pattern having a convex shape, and a passivation layer in the active area and the non-active area, the passivation layer covering the at least one lens pattern and having a first open portion exposing a first pad area.

Organic light emitting diode display device

A display device including a display panel and an eyepiece is provided. An image realized by the display panel can be provided to a user by passing through the eyepiece. The display device can further include a front quarter-wave plate and a rear quarter-wave plate in order to increase the path of light traveling toward the eyepiece from the display panel. A barrier can be disposed between the front quarter-wave plate and the rear quarter-wave plate. The barrier can reflect or transmit the light traveling toward the eyepiece from the display panel on a region-by-region, so that the loss of light recognized by the user through the eyepiece can be minimized.

Display device having an eyepiece

A transparent display apparatus is provided. The transparent display apparatus may include a display panel realizing an image. The image realized by the display panel may display on an image formed by light passing through the display panel. In the transparent display apparatus, the moving path of light emitted from the display panel may longer than the moving path of light passing through the display panel, so that the quality and the viewing angle of the image realized by the display panel may be improved.

Transparent display apparatus

A display device having an eyepiece is provided. The display device includes a display panel and an eyepiece. An image realized by the display panel may be provided to user through the eyepiece. An optical module may be disposed between the display panel and the eyepiece in order to increase a path of light. For example, the optical module may include a front quarter-wave plate, a half-mirror, a rear quarter-wave plate and a linear reflective polarizing plate, which are sequentially stacked. A positive C-plate may be disposed in the optical module. The light travelling toward the eyepiece from the display panel may pass through the positive C-plate. Thus, in the display device, the overall thickness may be reduced, and the viewing angle may be increased.

A switchable type touch display device includes: a display panel displaying an image; a touch polarization control panel over the display panel, wherein the touch polarization control panel includes: first and second touch polarization control substrates; a first electrode on an inner surface of the first touch polarization control substrate; a second electrode on an inner surface of the second touch polarization control substrate; a third electrode on an outer surface of the second touch polarization control substrate; and a polarization control liquid crystal layer between the first and second touch polarization control substrates; and a lens panel over the touch polarization control panel.

Switchable type touch display device and method of driving the same

A display device including a display module and an eyepiece lens is provided. A user can view an image realized by the display module through the eyepiece lens. In the display play according to the present disclosure, a path of a light moving from the display module to the eyepiece lens may be increased by a half-mirror and a reflective polarizing plate which are located between the display module and the eyepiece lens. Thus, in the display device according to the present disclosure, the overall thickness may be decreased without degrading the quality of the image realized by the display module.
