A child seat includes: a base member; a seat body switchable at least between a forward facing state and a sideways facing state in a bed shape on the base member; a prop or strut member attached to a front end of the base member and extending to a position where the prop member abuts on a floor of an automobile; and a rigid bar-shaped support member supported by the prop member so as to be displaceable between an upper position and a lower position. A side engagement portion is provided in a side surface of the seat body. The side engagement portion engages with the support member when the support member is brought to the upper position in the sideways facing state in the bed shape.

A crotch belt () which is one component of a body restraint belt includes an elastic plate () having bending elasticity, and a buckle () mounted on an end of the elastic plate (). One end of the elastic plate () is fixed to a fixing point () under a seating surface (). While the crotch belt () is not connected to a waist belt, the crotch belt () is positioned along a front part of the seating surface () so as to be close to it by elastic force of the elastic plate ().

A newborn dummy used in a dynamic test comprises a head, a spine member including a neck member connected to the head, a trunk mounted on said spine member at a lower part of the neck member and provided so as to cover the spine member and spaced apart from the spine member. An abdomen pressure sensor is provided close to the spine member at a part corresponding to an abdomen in the trunk so as to be spaced apart from the trunk.

A nursery band includes a back pad for supporting a back of a baby or infant, a head supporter for supporting a head of the baby or infant, located above the back pad, a pair of sideways protrusions protruding sideways from both sides of the head supporter, a pair of side forming members extending in a vertical direction continuously to both of side edges of the back pad, and a connecting part for detachably connecting a tip of each of the pair of sideways protrusions to each of the pair of side forming members. The head supporter is disposed in such a manner as to be freely folded over at a back surface of the back pad in a state where the connection via the connecting parts is maintained. Thus, there is provided a nursery band capable of varying the manner with the reduced number of component parts.

A detachable child safety seat comprises a base member, a seat body mounted on the base member detachably, an upper locking mechanism to lock or unlock a stand wall of the base member and a backrest of the seat body, a lower locking mechanism to lock or unlock a bottom wall of the base member and a seat of the seat body, and a synchronization mechanism to connect the upper locking mechanism to the lower locking mechanism so as to synchronize locked states or unlocked states of both locking mechanisms.

Detachable child safety seat

A folding baby carriage comprises a body so constituted that a seat and a backrest part approach each other in a folding operation, and a luggage basket positioned under the seat. The luggage basket comprises a front frame extending backward and forward under the seat, a rear frame turnably connected to a rear end of the front frame and extending backward and forward, and a lock mechanism preventing the rear frame being turned around the front frame. The rear frame is turned so as to take a lower position in which a rear part of the luggage basket is opened, a horizontal position in which it extends almost horizontally, and an upper position in which its rear end approximates the backrest part. The lock mechanism comprises horizontal position fixing means for fixing the rear frame in the horizontal position.

A baby carriage folded so as to be reduced in dimension in the width direction comprises a body frame () and a seat hammock (). The body frame includes a seating surface supporting member () and a pair of side vertical frame members (). The seat hammock includes a seating surface sheet part () and a backrest sheet part (). The seating surface sheet part () includes a seating surface core () and the backrest sheet part () includes a back surface core (). The seating surface core () and the back surface core () are constituted by a core continuously extending from the seating surface sheet part () to the backrest sheet part ().

A head guard arrangement includes a flexible pad (A) in direct contact with and enclosing the head top region and temporal region of the head of a baby (), an impact absorption pad (A) at an outer side of the flexible pad (A), enclosing the head top region and temporal region of the baby (), and a fixture pad (A) having a configuration with an outer perimeter contour that is in accord with the inner perimeter contour of a sidewall () of a child seat or carrier or the like so as to fill the gap between the impact absorption pad (A) and the sidewall (). With this structure, the head guard arrangement protects the head and brain of an infant against impact injuries.

A seat carriage body comprises a front leg, a rear leg, a push rod, and position fixing means. An upper end of the front leg is turnably connected to an upper end of the rear leg through a first shaft. A front end member of the push rod is connected to the front leg such that it can be displaced along the front leg at the time of a folding operation. A middle part of the push rod is turnably connected to the rear leg through a second shaft. The position fixing means fixes a positional relation among the front leg, the rear leg and the push rod in both open and folded states.

A wheel simultaneous brake mechanism for simultaneously braking two wheels includes two respective engaging members that are selectively movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position for selectively braking or releasing the two wheels. The two engaging members are connected to one another in a manner transmitting a tensile force therebetween by a wire, so that the engagement or release of both engaging members can be actuated together in unison.

A folding baby carriage comprises a pair of seating surface supporting side bars extending back and forth along both sides of a seating surface in order to support the seating surface from beneath. Each seating surface supporting side bar has a rigid inward extending portion extending toward the inside so as to support the seating surface from beneath, at a rear portion thereof. The inward extending portion is formed by bending a rear end portion of the seating surface supporting side bar toward the inside.

A baby-care implement comprises a hood which covers a top of a seat thereof. The hood comprises a mounting base fixed to a body of the baby-care implement, a first hood bone whose lower end is turnably connected to the mounting base, a second hood bone positioned on the inner side of the first hood bone, whose lower end is turnably connected to the mounting base, a third hood bone positioned on the inner side of the second hood bone, a first hood sheet mounted on the first hood bone and extending backward and forward, and a second hood sheet mounted on the second hood bone, overlapping the inner side of the first hood sheet and extending backward and forward. The second hood sheet comprises one end in the back-and-forth direction which is separated from the first hood sheet and the other end which is connected to the first hood sheet.

The folding baby carriage is foldable so that four wheels approach each other back and forth and from side to side. The baby carriage includes a lower frame structure that is positioned above the four wheels to form a seating surface portion of a seat and that is foldable so as to approach back and forth and from side to side with the four wheels, and an inverted U-shaped member extending to rise upward from both sides of the seating surface portion. The inverted U-shaped member remains on a single plane in both the folded state and the opened state without bending out of this plane, but lower ends of the inverted U-shaped member come closer together in the folded state.
