An elevator monitor and control system includes at least one elevator control apparatus, a monitor panel, and a power line interconnecting the elevator control apparatus and the monitor panel. The monitor panel includes an inverter power source backed up by a battery. Each elevator control apparatus includes a first power source for supplying normal power to an internal circuit of the elevator control apparatus, a second power source connected to the power line for supplying power to the elevator control apparatus upon the failure of the first power source, and a control circuit for determining which of the first and second power sources should supply power. A signal conversion control circuit disposed within each of the monitor panels and the elevator control apparatus exchanges data concerning car position, elevator control and the like between the monitor panel and the elevator control apparatus by series transmission through the power line.

Elevator monitor and control system with multiple power sources

An emergency intercommunication system for an elevator has an interphone unit and an intercommunication command switch located in an elevator car. A telephone number input apparatus for inputting the desired telephone number is provided in an elevator hall, in connection with a register apparatus for storing the input telephone number. An intercommunication command detecting section for detecting the actuation of the switch is provided in connection with an emergency call apparatus for automatically dialing the stored telephone number to connect the interphone unit with a telephone having the telephone number when the actuation of the switch is detected by the detecting apparatus. Preferably, an identification number input apparatus is provided in the elevator hall so that the register apparatus stores the telephone number only when it is input together with a predetermined identification number.

Emergency intercommunication system for elevator

An elevator remote-control method according to this invention consists in that, when a maintenance command has been received, a call-back program is executed which comprises a ring-off processing step of once disconnecting a telephone circuit, and a reconnection step of dialing a remote monitoring center to reconnect the telephone circuit, whereupon a program which conforms to the maintenance command is executed.

A velocity detection apparatus for elevators wherein the time interval between movement magnitude pulses produced at a frequency-representing velocity of the cage of an elevator is detected, and the fixed frequency of sampling pulses is modulated using a modulation coefficient determined by the ratio of the fixed frequency of the sampling pulses to the frequency of the movement magnitude pulses so as to obtain a modulated pulse signal during the interval between the movement magnitude pulses from which the velocity of the elevator cage is obtained. Provision is made to include two memory units for storing the latest two count values on the basis of a sampling pulse signal to determine the difference therebetween corresponding to the velocity of the elevator cage. In an alternate embodiment, a pair of counters is provided for counting both the modulated pulses and the movement magnitude pulses of the elevator to produce count values representing the velocity of the elevator.

Velocity detection apparatus for an elevator

A control apparatus for elevator system comprises a direction command device which outputs an ascending command signal or a descending command signal for a cage of an elevator; a driving signal generating device which outputs an ascending driving signal or a descending driving signal depending upon a driving direction of the cage of the elevator and a driving distance; and a detecting comparator which detects the ascending driving signal during non-output of the ascending command signal, and detects the descending driving signal during non-output of the descending command signal and outputs a command signal when the ascending driving signal or the descending driving signal is increased over a predetermined value.

Control apparatus for elevator system

An elevator control system for an elevator system of the type in which a digital position detector is used and it detects relatively an amount of the car travelling to control the elevator system, is provided. The elevator control system comprises; a first power source; a detector for detecting ceasing of the first power source function resulting from power stoppage or other power source trouble; a car position detector including a position signal storing circuit for electrically storing the car position signal representing the car position; a second power source for supplying power source to the car position detector to secure its normal operation till the car completely stops after the power source trouble; a third power source for supplying power source to only the position signal storing circuit includes in the car position detector after the second power source ceases its function. With such a construction, the final position at which the car stops due to its power source trouble is continuously stored with an accuracy and, after restoration of the power source from the trouble, the car may quickly initiate its normal operation.

Elevator control system

In a speed control system of elevator, a first speed pattern being an integration of an acceleration pattern and a second speed pattern decreasing at a constant speed for the remaining distance till the stoppage point, are set up. The car is operated in accordance with the first speed pattern. When the car reaches the decelerating point, the car is operated in accordance with the first speed pattern before the first and second speed patterns are not coincident, and then in accordance with the second speed pattern after they are coincident. A comparator is provided to detect the difference between the first and second speed patterns. When the car reaches the deceleration point, the acceleration pattern is successively reduced stepwisely in accordance with the output of the comparator. The reducing of the acceleration pattern is integrated and the result of the integration is used as the first speed pattern.

Speed control system of elevator

During the acceleration of an elevator car frequency modulated clock pulses are counted up by a first counter to generate a command speed pattern. A second counter similarly generates a second speed pattern identical in shape to and delayed a predetermined time relative to the command speed pattern. A randum access memory successively stores theoretical distances of movement of the car due to the command speed pattern suitably corrected and the second speed pattern as a distance-to-speed function. When and after both patterns first equal each other, a command deceleration pattern is generated to follow objectives or the distance-to-speed function. Once the command speed again equalled the objective, the intact distance-to-speed function is used as a command deceleration pattern concerning residual distances to a stop floor.

Elevator speed control system

During the acceleration of an elevator car a command acceleration pattern in the form of frequency modulated clock pulses is counted by a first and a second counter. The first counter issues a command speed pattern. The speed pattern is integrated to calculate the distances of movement of the care which is successively stored in a random access memory at addresses determined by the speeds from the second counter, at equal increments of speed. During the deceleration the distances of movement succesively read out from the memory are compared with the residual distances to the stop floor and the second counter counts the results of the comparison down to produce an ideal speed curve. The curve supplied to the memory is also compared with the actual car speed to modify the command acceleration with the result that the actual speed follows up the ideal speed curve.
