An assembly comprises a circuit board structure and a plurality of connection portions. The circuit board structure has a main circuit board and a supplemental circuit board. The main circuit board is formed with an accommodating portion. The accommodating portion is recessed downward in an up-down direction from an upper surface of the main circuit board. The main circuit board has a plurality of upper main conductive portions which are formed on the upper surface of the main circuit board. The supplemental circuit board has a plurality of upper supplemental conductive portions which are formed on an upper surface of the supplemental circuit board. The supplemental circuit board is, at least in part, accommodated in the accommodating portion. Each of ones of the connection portions connects a respective one of the upper main conductive portions and a respective one of the upper supplemental conductive portions with each other.

Assembly and harness assembly

A connection body comprises a body having upper and lower surfaces, a first path and a second path. The first path has a first wired portion configured to be connected to a first core wire of a cable structure and a first terminal portion coupled to the first wired portion by a first coupling portion. The first wired portion, the first terminal portion and the first coupling portion are formed on the upper surface of the body. The second path has a second wired portion configured to be connected to a second core wire of the cable structure and a second terminal portion coupled to the second wired portion by a second coupling portion. The second wired portion is formed on the upper surface of the body. The second terminal portion is formed on the lower surface of the body.

Connection body and harness

A cable assembly comprises a cable, a holding member and a contact. The holding member holds the cable. The contact is located above the holding member in an upper-lower direction. The cable comprises a conductive wire. The conductive wire has a fixed portion. The holding member has a predetermined surface. The contact has a facing surface. The facing surface is in contact with the predetermined surface in the upper-lower direction or faces the predetermined surface with a distance formed therebetween in the upper-lower direction. The fixed portion is fixed and connected to the predetermined surface.

Cable assembly

In this circuit board, first signal wiring portionsand second ground wiring portionsof a first wiring layerare adjacent to each other in a pitch direction. Further, second signal wiring portionsand first ground wiring portionsof a second wiring layerare adjacent to each other in the pitch direction. In the pitch direction, outer edgesof line portionsof two first signal wiring portionsare located more inward than both edgesof a line portionof the first ground wiring portions. Outer edgesof line portionsof two second wiring portionsare located more inward than both edgesof the line portionof the second ground wiring portion. This achieves good signal transmission characteristics without providing a ground layer separate from a signal layer.

Circuit board and cable harness provided with the same

A cable assembly extends in a longitudinal direction. The cable assembly comprises a first cable, two second cables, two coupling portions, an interposing portion and an outer cover. The first cable has a first conductor and a first cover. Each of the second cables has a second conductor and a second cover. The coupling portions couple the second covers, respectively, with the first cover. The first cable, the two second cables and the two coupling portions are arranged in a V-shape in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The interposing portion extends along the first cable and the two second cables and has a full length which is equal to that of each of the first cable and the two second cables. The interposing portion is brought into contact with all the first cable and the two second cables.

A connection structure comprises a cable and a connection object. The cable includes two wires and an insulation body which covers and binds the two wires. The insulation body includes two coverings which cover the wires, respectively. The connection object comprises a base portion and a pressing member. The base portion has a catch portion and a cable-holding portion. The cable has a held section and a pressed section. The held section is held by the cable-holding portion. The pressed section is sandwiched and pressed between the pressing member and the catch portion in an upper-lower direction (Z-direction). The insulation body of the pressed section includes a coupling strip. The coupling strip couples the two coverings to each other in a lateral direction (Y-direction).

Connection structure, forming method of connection structure and cable of connection structure

A connector is provided with a plurality of terminals and a housing. The terminals include a first terminal corresponding to a first cable and a second terminal corresponding to a second cable. Each of the terminals has a contact portion, a held portion and a connection portion. The contact portion is brought into contact with a mating contact portion when the connector is connected to a mating connector. The held portion is held by the housing. When the connector is attached to a composite cable, the connection portion pierces a covering portion of a cable corresponding thereto and is connected to a conductor of the cable. The connection portion of the first terminal protrudes from the held portion in a front-rear direction. The connection portion of the second terminal protrudes from the held portion in a perpendicular direction.

Multi-cable connector with cable piercing terminals

A connector has a main portion formed as a part of a multilayer wiring board and having a tongue shape. The multilayer wiring board is provided with a surface conductive layer and an inner conductive layer. The inner conductive layer is located apart from and inward of the surface conductive layer in an up-down direction. The main portion is provided with a grounding plate formed in the surface conductive layer and a plurality of contacts formed in the inner conductive layer. Each of the contacts is, at least in part, exposed and contactable in the up-down direction. Since the grounding plate and the contacts are formed in the conductive layers of the multilayer wiring board, the connector can possess desired electric characteristics in high accuracy.

Connector, device provided with the same and method of manufacturing the same

A connection structure comprises a cable and a connection object. The cable includes two wires, two coverings and two coupling strips. The coverings cover the wires, respectively. Each of the coupling strips couples the two coverings to each other. The connection object comprises a base portion and a pressing member. The base portion has a catch portion and two side portions. The cable has a pressed section and a rear section located rearward of the pressing member in a front-rear direction (X-direction). The pressed section is sandwiched and pressed between the pressing member and the catch portion in an upper-lower direction (Z-direction) and is located between the two side portions in a lateral direction (Y-direction). In the lateral direction, a distance between the two wires of the pressed section is longer than another distance between the two wires of the rear section.

A connector is attachable with a composite cable and is connectable with a mating connector having a mating contact portion. The composite cable has at least one cable set which comprises a first cable and two second cables. The connector has a first member, a plurality of terminals and a second member. The first member is attachable with the composite cable. The plurality of terminals include at least one terminal set which comprises a first terminal and two second terminals. Each of the terminals has a contact portion, a held portion and a connecting portion. The connecting portion is connected with the composite cable when the connector is attached with the composite cable. In the at least one terminal set, the connecting portion of the first terminal is positioned between the connecting portions of the second terminals in a horizontal direction. The second member is combined with the first member.

Connector and cable harness

A connector includes signal contacts and predetermined contacts maintained at predetermined voltage levels. Each contact has a horizontal portion, an intersecting portion extending along a direction intersecting with the horizontal portion and a coupling portion coupling the horizontal portion and the intersecting portion to each other. The contacts include a first contact group made up of the two predetermined contacts and one differential pair of the two signal contacts. In the first contact group, a size of the coupling portion of each of the predetermined contacts in the pitch direction is larger than another size of the coupling portion of each of the signal contacts in the pitch direction, and a size of the intersecting portion of each of the predetermined contacts in the pitch direction is larger than another size of the intersecting portion of each of the signal contacts in the pitch direction.

Connector

A circuit board comprises at least a first wiring layer, a second wiring layer and a via. The first wiring layer is formed with a pair of first ends, a pair of second ends, a coupling portion, a pair of first trace portions and a pair of second trace portions. The coupling portion has a pair of first coupling points, a pair of second coupling points, an inner trace portion, an outer trace portion and a ground conductor portion. The inner trace portion has a length equal to a length of the outer trace portion. The ground conductor portion is arranged between the inner trace portion and the outer trace portion. The second wiring layer is formed with a ground pattern. The ground conductor portion is connected with the ground pattern through the via.

Circuit board, connector assembly and cable harness

Provided is a connector, including a plurality of contacts including both of ground contacts and signal contacts forming a differential signal pair. The impedance between the signal contacts and the ground contacts is matched.

Connector and signal transmission method using same

A connector includes a plurality of signal contacts and a plurality of non-signal contacts arranged on at least one contact array plane, a ground plate disposed on a ground plane parallel to the contact array plane so as to face the plurality of signal contacts and the plurality of non-signal contacts, and an insulator which holds the plurality of signal contacts, the plurality of non-signal contacts and the ground plate, at least one of the non-signal contacts being disposed between each of the signal contacts and other of the signal contacts, the ground plate having at least one opening at a location facing the at least one of the non-signal contacts disposed between each of the signal contacts and other of the signal contacts, none of the signal contacts being disposed on the ground plane.

A connector includes a plurality of contacts, which are held by a holder member and are arranged in a pitch direction perpendicular to a front-rear direction. Each contact has a terminal portion to be connected and fixed to an object and a connection portion which is, at least in part, held by a plate-like portion of the holder member and is positioned forwards of the terminal portion in the front-rear direction. The connection portion has a first contact portion, a second contact portion and a rear connection portion. The first contact portion is, at least in part, exposed on the first surface. The second contact portion is, at least in part, exposed on the second surface. The rear connection portion connects a rear of the first contact portion with a rear of the second contact portion and is connected to the terminal portion. When the connector is mated with a mating connector, one of the first contact portion and the second contact portion electrically connects a mating contact of the mating connector to the terminal portion.
