The present application provides a display device that easily reduces an incident amount of an infrared light to a display portion on the basis of maintaining visual confirmation of display information. A display device according to one scheme of the present disclosure comprises: a display portion emitting a visible light of a linearly polarized wave having display information; an infrared light cut-off portion transmitting the visible light from the display portion and reducing an incident amount of an infrared light to the display portion; and a reflecting portion reflecting the visible light transmitted from the infrared light cut-off portion, wherein the infrared light cut-off portion comprises an infrared light cut-off layer, the infrared light cut-off layer has a slow axis, and the slow axis is generally parallel to a vibration direction of the linearly polarized wave.

A display device according to one aspect of the present invention includes: a display unit configured to have display information and emits visible light having a continuous spectrum; an infrared cut-off part configured to transmit the visible light from the display unit and to reduce the amount of infrared light striking the display unit; and a reflecting part configured to reflect the visible light having passed through the infrared cut-off part. The infrared cut-off part includes a first polymer film and a second polymer film, the first polymer film includes an infrared cut-off layer configured to reduce infrared light transmission, and the second polymer film includes a high-retardation polyester film and is disposed between the first polymer film and the display unit.

An image forming apparatus capable of performing color misregistration correction at image forming speeds while reducing downtime. Image forming units form images of different colors. The formed images are transferred to an intermediate transfer belt. A pattern sensor detects color misregistration amounts of color patterns formed on the intermediate transfer belt. A CPU causes the image forming units to form first color patterns at a first speed and the pattern sensor to detect first color misregistration amounts, and causes the former to form second color patterns at a second speed different from the first speed and the latter to detect second color misregistration amounts.
