A method for manufacturing a cell includes the steps of: preparing a housing portion having an opening; preparing a lid portion that includes a plate portion, a first external terminal located on the plate portion, and a second external terminal located on the plate portion at a position away from the first external terminal; placing the lid portion in the housing portion in such a manner that the plate portion closes the opening; placing a jig on an inter-terminal region of the plate portion that is located between the first external terminal and the second external terminal; and sealing the opening by joining the plate portion with the jig placed thereon and the housing portion together by welding.

A deterioration diagnosis apparatus of an assembled battery includes at least one processor. The processor executes discharging of each of a plurality of cells included in an assembled battery mounted on a vehicle while measuring a voltage of each of the cells, and estimates a deterioration degree of the assembled battery using voltage data indicating a transition of a voltage of at least one of the cells from a discharging start voltage to a predetermined discharging end voltage. The vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and a motor that executes start processing of the internal combustion engine. The assembled battery supplies power to the motor. The processor determines, during the discharging, whether the assembled battery becomes unable to supply power required for the start processing to the motor when the discharging is continued, and ends the discharging before the assembled battery becomes unable to supply the power to the motor.

Deterioration diagnosis apparatus of assembled battery and deterioration diagnosis method of assembled battery

A deterioration diagnosis apparatus of an assembled battery includes at least one processor. The at least one processor executes discharging of each of a plurality of cells included in the assembled battery, measures a voltage of each of the cells during the discharging, ends the discharging at a predetermined discharging end timing, and estimates a deterioration degree of the assembled battery using voltage data indicating a transition of a voltage of at least one of the cells from a discharging start voltage to a predetermined discharging end voltage. When the voltage of at least one of the cells reaches the discharging end voltage, the at least one processor decides the discharging end timing using the voltage data of the cell of which the voltage reaches the discharging end voltage.
