A cutting device controls a movement mechanism based on cutting data for cutting, along a cutting line, an object to be cut placed on a placement member. The cutting device acquires an attribute of the cutting line. The cutting device decides, based on the acquired attribute, a correction amount to correct the cutting line. The cutting device generates, based on the cutting data, corrected cutting data for cutting the object to be cut along the cutting line corrected by the decided correction amount. The cutting device controls the movement mechanism based on the generated corrected cutting data and cutting the object to be cut.

A cutting device decides a cutting pressure correspondence value corresponding to a pressure applied to a mounting portion of a cutting blade when cutting an object to be cut using the cutting blade based on a first pressure correspondence value corresponding to the pressure applied to the mounting portion when it is detected that the cutting blade has come into contact with the object to be cut in the course of the mounting portion, and on a second pressure correspondence value corresponding to the pressure applied to the mounting portion when it is detected that the cutting blade has reached a holding surface of the holding member of the object to be cut. A cutting device applies the pressure to the mounting portion based on the cutting pressure correspondence value and cuts the object to be cut using the cutting blade mounted to the mounting portion.

Cutting device

A cutting device includes a platen, a mounting portion, a movement mechanism, a processor, and a memory. The memory is configured to store computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes including acquiring a hardness-correspondence value corresponding to a hardness of a cutting object placed on the platen, acquiring cutting data for cutting a pattern from the cutting object, setting, based on the hardness-correspondence value, an offset amount used for a rotation correction to a greater value when the hardness of the cutting object is hard than when the hardness of the cutting object is soft, correcting, using the set offset amount, data, of the cutting data, corresponding to a direction change section, and performing cutting processing to cut the cutting object using a cutting blade, by controlling the movement mechanism in accordance with the corrected cutting data.

A cutting device includes a platen, a mounting portion, a first movement mechanism, a second movement mechanism, a detector, a processor, and a memory. The memory is configured to store computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes. The processes include acquiring cutting data, acquiring a contact position output by the detector when the cutting blade comes into contact with the holding member, and controlling the first movement mechanism in accordance with the cutting data to move the mounting portion and the holding member to a cutting start position. The processes include controlling the second movement mechanism, at the cutting start position, to move the mounting portion in the third direction to a cutting position set on the basis of the contact position, and controlling the first movement mechanism in accordance with the acquired cutting data to perform cutting processing.

A cutting device includes a placement member on which an object to be cut is placed and a mounting portion to which a cutting blade is mounted. The cutting device detects, in the course of the mounting portion moving, a pressure correspondence value corresponding to a pressure applied to the mounting portion, and a movement amount of the mounting portion, decides a cutting pressure correspondence value that is the pressure correspondence value corresponding to a cutting pressure, on the basis of the pressure correspondence value and the movement amount after the cutting blade has come into contact with the object to be cut, and acquires cutting data. The cutting device further applies in accordance with the acquired cutting data, the cutting pressure corresponding to the decided cutting pressure correspondence value to the mounting portion, and cuts the object to be cut, using the cutting blade mounted to the mounting portion.

A controller of a cutting apparatus obtains cutting data and specifies a pressure value corresponding to pressure to be applied to an attaching portion by a pressure changer during cutting processing for cutting a workpiece using a cutting blade based on the cutting data and a target range defining target positions of the attaching portion in a fifth direction. While causing the pressure changer to apply, to the attaching portion, the pressure corresponding to the specified pressure value, the controller executes the cutting processing by controlling a first moving mechanism and obtains the position of the attaching portion in the fifth direction. If the obtained position of the attaching portion is out of the target range, the controller changes the pressure value to another value and executes the cutting processing while causing the pressure changer to apply, to the attaching portion, the pressure corresponding to the other value.

Cutting apparatus

A controller of a cutting apparatus specifies a target position of an attaching portion in a fifth direction and controls a second moving mechanism to move the attaching portion in a third direction. If the controller determines that the attaching portion has reached the target position, the controller executes cutting processing based on the obtained cutting data by controlling the second moving mechanism based on a pressure corresponding value achieved when the attaching portion is located at the target portion. If the controller determines that the pressure corresponding value has reached a pressure threshold, the controller executes the cutting processing by controlling the second moving mechanism based on the pressure corresponding value achieved when the attaching portion is located at a first particular position where the pressure corresponding value is equal to or lower than the pressure threshold value. The controller restarts controlling the second moving mechanism.

A cutting apparatus includes a storing unit configured to store data of a pattern having plural parts of different colors or designs; a display unit; and a control device. The control device is configured to: acquire data of a color or a design of at least one workpiece; change a color or a design of at least one part of a pattern in the data stored in the storing unit to the color or the design acquired for the at least one workpiece; and display the pattern having the at least one part in which the color or the design has been changed on the display unit.

An image reader including a controller configured to acquire white reference data based on a signal output from a sensor that has received reflected light from a white reference member, by controlling a light source to emit light of a first quantity onto the white reference member, acquire black reference data based on a signal output from the sensor that has received reflected light from the white reference member, by controlling the light source to emit light of a second quantity lower than the first quantity onto the white reference member, acquire image data of a document sheet based on a signal output from the sensor that has received reflected light from the document sheet, by controlling the light source to emit light of the first quantity onto the document sheet, and correct the acquired image data with the acquired white reference data and the acquired black reference data.

An image scanning apparatus is configured to obtain a greatest gray gradation value when the light source illuminates the gray reference member at a first light quantity value, obtain a gradation value of a black signal output by the signal conversion unit when the light source is powered off, calculate a first difference value, set a second light quantity value, set a correction light quantity value, obtain a second difference value by subtracting the gradation value of the black signal from the second gradation value of a white signal, calculate a shading correction value based on a ratio of the second difference value to the first difference value, control the scanning unit to scan the image on the original sheet with controlling the light source to illuminate the original sheet in accordance with the second light quantity value, and apply the shading correction in accordance with the shading correction value.

Image scanning apparatus

An image scanning apparatus is configured to obtain a greatest gray gradation value when the light source illuminates the gray reference member at a first light quantity value, set a second light quantity value such that a gray signal having the gray gradation value is output by the signal conversion unit based on the analog signal output by the photoelectric conversion element belonging to a block identified by the block information when the light source illuminates the gray reference member at the second light quantity value, calculate a shading correction value, scan the image on the original sheet with controlling the light source to illuminate the original sheet in accordance with the second light quantity value, and apply the shading correction to the digital signal output by the signal conversion unit in accordance with the shading correction value.

In an image reading device, a storing device stores reference dark output data and reference correction data. A control device, after a command receiving unit receives an instruction to read an original document, generates dark output data based on read data while the light source does not emit light. The control device determines whether the dark output data is within a first prescribed range into which the reference dark output data falls. The control device selects the reference correction data as selected correction data, when determining that the dark output data is within the first prescribed range. The control device generate correction data to correct the image data when determining that the dark output data is not within the first prescribed range, and selects the generated correction data as the selected correction data. The control device corrects the image data by using the selected correction data.

Image reading device determining whether dark output data is within prescribed range

A printing apparatus to print an image on a sheet is provided. The printing apparatus includes a photosensitive member, a contiguous member arranged to contact the photosensitive member, and a protection sheet configured to protect the photosensitive member from the contiguous member. The protection sheet is arranged in an intervening position between the photosensitive member and the contiguous member but configured to be removed from the intervening position by a user before using the printing apparatus. The protection sheet interferes with at least one of the user's behavior conducted on the printing apparatus in order to use the printing apparatus and a detecting behavior of a sensor which is arranged in the printing apparatus to detect a condition of the printing apparatus.

Printing apparatus

An image reading device includes a white reference member, reading device, and processor. The reading device includes lenses and light-receiving elements. The light-receiving elements output a plurality of pixel values based on a light reflected from the white reference member. Each lens corresponds to at least two light-receiving elements. Each light-receiving element is configured to receive a light reflected from the white reference member and passing through the corresponding lens and to output one pixel value. The processor acquires the pixel values by using the reading device, sets a target pixel, and determines that the target pixel is an abnormal pixel when an absolute value of difference between a pixel value of the target pixel and a pixel value of a first pixel is greater than a prescribed threshold. The first pixel is separated from the target pixel by an integer multiple of the predetermined lens-to-lens distance.
