A power conversion device that converts power supplied via a first power feed bus and a second power feed bus, and includes: an inductance element connected to the first power feed bus; and a power module that converts power supplied between the first power feed bus and the second power feed bus by switching. The power conversion device further includes: a housing that houses the inductance element and the power module therein; and a first impedance element provided between the inductance element and the housing.

Provided is a power conversion device including: a power module provided between a first power-supply busbar that supplies a positive power source and a second power-supply busbar that supplies a negative power source; a first capacitor with one end thereof connected to the first power-supply busbar; a second capacitor with one end thereof connected to the second power-supply busbar; a grounding member connected between the opposite end of the first capacitor and the opposite end of the second capacitor; and a conductive member routed along at least one of the first power-supply busbar and the second power-supply busbar and connecting the grounding member and a ground potential.

A switching device according to the present invention comprises: a main circuit including a switching element; a control circuit which generates a control signal for switching the switching element between an on state and an off state; and a first signal line and a second signal line which transfer the control signal outputted from the control circuit, to the main circuit. The value of the characteristic impedance (Z) of the first and second signal lines is set between the value of the output impedance (Z) of the control circuit and the value of the input impedance (Z) of the main circuit.

In the present invention, a power conversion device is provided with an inverter for converting power output from a power source; a first power supply bus, connected to the positive electrode side of the inverter and the power source; a second power supply bus, connected to the negative electrode sides of the inverter and the power source; a first conductor that forms, along with the first power supply bus, a capacitor; a second conductor that forms, along with the second power supply bus, a capacitor; and a connection circuit, comprising a resistor, that electrically connects the first conductor and the second conductor.

A power conversion device has a power module that switches the ON/OFF state of a switching element and converts and outputs input power, a metal housing that houses the power module, and a conductive member connected to the housing. The conductive member is connected to the housing at a position having a length of n&#x3bb;/4 from the open end. More specifically, 'n' is an odd number of 1 or greater, '&#x3bb;' is the wavelength of noise generated by switching the switching element ON or OFF.

In a power converter including an inverter configured to convert a direct current voltage into an alternating current voltage by controlling switching devices to be turned ON or OFF based on a control signal and to output the alternating current voltage to a load, a carrier wave frequency is changed. A command value is compensated in accordance with the changing carrier wave frequency. The control signal results from a comparison of the carrier wave with a compensated command value. As a result of the compensation, output fluctuations caused by an error voltage between the command value and an output voltage to the load can be suppressed.

A controller of a pulse width modulation signal-driven device, includes: an instruction input of operating the pulse width modulation signal-driven device; a control section generating a control clock which operates the pulse width modulation signal-driven device; a frequency modulator frequency-modulating the control clock, to thereby give to the control clock a frequency variation in a predetermined frequency range; a frequency varier generating a modulation signal inputted to the frequency modulator; and a first switching member driving the switching element which flows a predetermined drive current to the pulse width modulation signal-driven device based on the frequency-modulated control clock. The frequency varier includes: a first signal generator setting a range of diffusing a switching noise in a frequency range, and a unit for shifting a frequency band of the switching noise by giving a predetermined offset voltage to an output voltage of the first signal generator.
