Problem to be Solved It is intended to provide an industrially preferable fluoroalkylating agent and use thereof. Solution The present invention provides a fluoroalkylating agent represented by the general formula (1) wherein Ris a C1 to C8 fluoroalkyl group; Rand Rare each independently a C1 to C12 alkyl group or the like; Yto Yare each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or the like; and Xis a monovalent anion.  A compound of the general formula (3): R&#x2014;S&#x2014;Rhaving an introduced C1 to C8 fluoroalkyl group is easily obtained by reacting a compound of the general formula (2): R&#x2014;S&#x2014;Z wherein Ris a hydrocarbon group or the like; and Z is a leaving group, with the compound of the general formula (1).

Disclosed is a method for producing 4,6-dialkoxy-2-cyanomethylpyrimidine and also disclosed is a synthetic intermediate thereof. Aryl (1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) compound, and process for production thereof

An aryl (1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) compound is useful for producing a 3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenylsulfide compound (useful, e.g., as an insecticide). Also disclosed is a process for producing the compound. The aryl (1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) compound is represented by the general formula (1), below, wherein R represents a C1-C6 alkyl group or a cyclic C3-C6 alkyl group; Arepresents a hydrogen atom, an amino group, a mono(C1-C6 alkyl amino group or a di (C1-C6 alkyl) amino group; Arepresents a halogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl group or a cyclic C3-C6 alkyl group; and Z represents a hydrogen atom, a halo-sulfonyl group or a mercapto group.

A method for producing a 3-mercaptoaniline compound, which is a known intermediate for a 3-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenylsulfide derivative, useful as a pesticide, and a method for producing a compound which can be used as a starting material in producing the 3-mercaptoaniline compound are disclosed. In one embodiment the nitro group and the chlorosulfonyl group of a 3-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride compound represented by general formula (1):   In the above general formulas (1) and (2), R represents an alkyl group or a cyclic alkyl group, and X represents a halogen atom.
