A medium processing device is provided including: a conveyance section that conveys a sheet-shaped medium along a conveyance path; a drive transmission section that transmits drive force to the medium so as to cause the medium to travel along the conveyance path; an operation knob that is provided on an operation side face of the conveyance section, and that is used for operating the drive transmission section; and a storage box that stores the medium therein, and that is capable of transitioning between an opposing state in which the storage box opposes the operation side face of the conveyance section over a range including at least the operation knob, and a non-opposing state in which the storage box does not oppose the operation side face.

Medium processing device and medium transaction device

To provide a medium storing and advancing apparatus for inhibiting rotation of a drum when tapes are completely rewound from the drum. The apparatus includes reels supplying and winding up the tapes, a drum winding up the tapes supplied from the reels or rewinding wound-up tapes to supply the tapes to the reels, and an inhibiting mechanism inhibiting further rotation of the drum in a direction of rewinding the tapes when the drum completely rewinds the tapes, whereby the inhibiting mechanism inhibits the rotation of the drum.

Medium storing and advancing apparatus

A medium storing and advancing apparatus is provided which prevents, when a medium sandwiched between two tapes is wound on a drum to be stored, that the medium could not be wound due to the thickness of the tapes wound previously on the drum. The medium storing and advancing apparatus includes reels which supply and wind up the tapes, and a drum which winds up the tapes, wherein the drum is provided with a drum groove portion over the circumferentially entire periphery substantially in a middle way of the outer peripheral surface of the drum so that the tapes are wound in the drum groove portion.
