An engine mount structure for an apparatus equipped with an engine mounts an engine on a resin casing with an elastic body therebetween. The structure includes: a base plate arranged so that one side thereof faces the engine and the other side thereof faces the casing; a cylindrical elastic body that protrudes toward the engine from the base plate and is provided at an end portion thereof on an engine side with a securing member on which the engine is fixed; and a bolt that protrudes toward the casing from the base plate and couples the casing and the base plate to each other. An area where the bolt is disposed on the base plate protrudes in a stepped shape toward the engine from an area where the elastic body is disposed on the base plate.

Engine mount structure for apparatus equipped with engine

A portable engine includes: an internal combustion engine to burn fuel so as to output power; a fuel tank to store the fuel; a fuel pump to transfer the fuel from the fuel tank to the internal combustion engine; a U-shaped fuel pipe to transfer the fuel is disposed, and at a lowest portion of a fuel passage of the fuel pipe; and a fuel drainer capable of discharging the fuel in the fuel pipe to outside. The U-shaped fuel pipe is disposed between the fuel tank and the fuel pump, and the fuel drainer is disposed at a lowest site of a fuel passage of the fuel pipe.

Portable engine

An engine is provided with an output shaft and a motor generator connection shaft of a crankshaft at ends of a crank case and adapted such that the output shaft can be connected with an external driven apparatus. A motor generator has stators relatively fixed to the crank case and a rotor coupled with the motor generator connection shaft and rotating relative to the stators. An external apparatus connection shaft is connected with the rotor and disposed at an end of the motor generator on the opposite side of the engine. A clutch is disposed between the motor generator connection shaft and the rotor. A power storage unit stores electric power generated by the motor generator and supplies the electric power to the motor generator. A controller switches between an electric power generation function and a motor function, and engages and disengages the clutch.

A blow-by gas introducing passage having a blow-by gas inlet port, an air-cleaner-side breather passage that extends upwardly as branched from the blow-by gas introducing passage so as to communicate with an intake system, and a case-side breather passage that extends downwardly as branched from the blow-by gas introducing passage so as to communicate with an oil chamber are provided to an inner surface of a side cover that is detachably mounted to a timing-gear chamber communicating with a crank chamber. The blow-by gas introducing passage, the air-cleaner-side breather passage, and the case-side breather passage are formed integral with the side cover.

Breather device in engine

A breather device disposed in a timing-gear chamber of an engine includes an oil separator rotatable with a camshaft, and a tubular breather housing that removes the oil mist by working in cooperation with the oil separator. The oil separator has a plurality of fins arranged annularly around an axis line of the camshaft at fixed intervals. The tubular breather housing has openings in a periphery wall thereof and surrounds the oil separator.

A drysump lubrication type engine is integrally connected at a crankcase thereof with an oil tank. A magnet coil coaxially mounted on an extension line of a crankshaft is covered by the oil tank and accommodated between the oil tank and the engine.

When an engine is operated at a low and medium speed range, since the combustion pressure introduced into a pressure chamber of a valve drive unit is relatively small, a control valve is projected toward the cylinder by the biasing force of a spring so as to lower the upper edge of the exhaust port. At the same time, in conjunction with this motion of the control valve, a resonance chamber is opened so as to communicate between the resonance chamber and the exhaust port, thereby the engine power is increased. When the engine is operated at a high speed range, since the combustion pressure is relatively large, the control valve goes away from the cylinder so as to enlarge the exhaust port and at the same time, in conjunction with this motion of the control valve, the resonance chamber is closed, thereby the engine power is increased.
