A gas-engine-powered handheld working machine has a working unit driven by a engine capable of running on a gas fuel supplied from a gas cartridge. The gas cartridge is arranged such that when the handheld working machine is disposed in a normal rest position where the handheld working machine is placed on a horizontal plane with a bottom surface of a machine body lying flat on the horizontal plane, the gas cartridge is disposed in a substantially vertical position with a discharge nozzle directed downwards while a central axis of the gas cartridge extends substantially perpendicular to the horizontal plane.

Gas-engine-powered handheld working machine

An engine for an outboard motor includes an oil filter. A first oil passage has a communication duct disposed at a position lower than that of the oil filter and communicating with a crank chamber. The communication duct is closed by a drain valve that can be opened and closed manually. Opening the drain valve allows the oil accumulated in the first oil passage to flow down into the crank chamber through the communication duct.

Engine for outboard motor

A steering apparatus whereby the steering load is equal even when the left and right steering angles are large when an outboard motor is steered to the left and right via a swivel shaft. A connecting hole of a steering plate is provided at a position spaced from a center line of the steering plate so that equal angles are formed by a first straight line, joining the center of the swivel shaft and the connecting hole, and a second straight line, joining the connecting hole and a link hole formed in a steering rod.

Steering apparatus for outboard motor

In an apparatus for controlling a small boat having a hull and two outboard motors mounted on a stern of the hull and an actuator adapted to open/close a throttle valve of each engine of the motors for regulating speed of the engine, acceleration acting on the boat in a direction of gravity axis when the boat ascends or descends the ocean wave and angular acceleration about the gravity is detected and a correction amount of the engine speed is calculated based on the detected acceleration so as to change behavior of the boat, thereby mitigating a burden on the operator and improving stability of the boat.

Control apparatus for small boat

A waterborne vehicle having a steering mechanism for transmitting a tilt of a hull and steering a propulsion apparatus. The steering mechanism comprises a first operation element for transmitting the tilt of the hull, and a second operation element that is connected to the first operation element, and that converts into steerage the tilt of the hull transmitted by the first operation element.

Waterborne vehicle

A thrust receiver abuts against an expandable and contractable trim rod to adjust a trim angle of a body of an outboard engine system. The thrust receiver includes a shaft portion rotatable about an axis generally parallel to an axis of the trim rod, and a pressure-receiving portion provided on the shaft portion to abut against a tip end of the trim rod. An abutment point between the trim rod and the pressure-receiving portion is displaced by a distance from an axis of the shaft portion in a lateral direction of the system body. Because the pressure-receiving portion of the thrust receiver rotates about the axis of the shaft portion accompanying the expansion and contraction of the trim rod, a twisting generated at the abutment point can be minimized to suppress generation of an abnormal sound. Moreover, the structure can be simplified to contribute to a reduction in cost, as compared with a system in which a ball is disposed at an abutment point.

Outboard engine system

An outboard engine assembly for use on a boat includes an engine having a substantially vertical crankshaft and a pair of banks of vertically juxtaposed horizontal cylinders, the banks being arranged in a V shape, the cylinders of the banks having axes angularly spaced from each other by an angle of 90.degree. or smaller. The outboard engine assembly has a propeller operatively connected to a downwardly extending vertical shaft coupled to the crankshaft. The engine and the vertical shaft is accommodated in a case assembly. The engine and the case assembly are installed on the hull of the boat by upper and lower support members. Vibroisolating rubber dampers are disposed between the boat hull and the upper and lower support members for isolating vibrations from the engine from the boat hull.
