A stator includes a cylindrical stator core having a plurality of slots, and a plurality of coils having segment conductors inserted through the plurality of slots and extending in axial direction, a coolant flow channel through which coolant flows is formed between outer circumferential surface of the segment conductor and inner circumferential surface of the slot, the outer circumferential surface of the segment conductor includes first flat surface facing radial direction, second flat surface facing circumferential direction, and a corner portion curved surface connecting the first flat surface and the second flat surface, the corner portion curved surface includes first curved surface continuous with the first flat surface and second curved surface continuous with the second flat surface, and when seen in cross-sectional view perpendicular to the axial direction, radius of curvature of the first curved surface is greater than radius of curvature of the second curved surface.

Stator and rotary electric machine

A rotor for a rotary electric machine includes: a rotor core which includes a magnet insertion hole; and a permanent magnet housed in the magnet insertion hole. The permanent magnet has an arc shape which is convex toward an axial line. The rotor core includes: an outer-circumference core part; an inner-circumference core part; and connection ribs which connect the outer-circumference core part and the inner-circumference core part. The permanent magnet is supported in the rotor core in such a manner that circumferential ends abut on an inner surface of the magnet insertion hole. A circumferential center portion of the permanent magnet is separated from an outer-circumference-side inner surface of the magnet insertion hole. In the circumferential center portion of the permanent magnet, a gap is provided between an outer-circumference-side outer surface of the permanent magnet and the outer-circumference-side inner surface of the magnet insertion hole.

An outer rotor electric motor includes a stator, an annular rotor and a resolver. The stator includes a stator core and a plurality of coils. The stator core has a plurality of teeth that are spaced at a specified interval in a circumferential direction. The plurality of teeth protrude radially. Each of the plurality of coils is formed by winding a wire around an outer circumference of each of the plurality of teeth. The annular rotor is disposed radially outward with respect to the stator. The resolver is disposed radially inward with respect to the stator core and includes a resolver stator and a resolver rotor. The resolver stator is mounted on the stator or a case member. The resolver rotor is mounted on the annular rotor or a support member that supports the annular rotor such that the resolver rotor opposes the resolver stator.

Outer rotor electric motor

An outer rotor motor includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes a stator core having a plurality of teeth, coils and insulators retaining the coils. The insulators are connected to each other in an annular configuration such that the teeth are inserted into the insulators. Each of the insulators includes a body portion and an outer peripheral flange. Each of the insulators further includes an auxiliary tooth portion on at least one of two axial ridge portions. The axial ridge portions include bonding portions between the body portion and the outer peripheral flange. The auxiliary tooth portion includes a rotor-facing surface facing the rotor and a tooth-contacting surface contacting one of the side surfaces in the circumferential direction.

Outer rotor motor

An insulation structure of rotary electrical machinery which electrically insulates teeth of a stator from a winding wound on the teeth includes: an insulator made from hard insulation material, disposed on both axial ends of the teeth, and having a side wall disposed along a side surface of the teeth crossing to a circumferential direction thereof, and a high-heat-conductive electrical-insulation resin sheet disposed along the side surface of the teeth and insulating the teeth from the winding, wherein an axial end portion of the high-heat-conductive electrical-insulation resin sheet is disposed between the side wall of the insulator and the side surface of the teeth and is stacked on the side wall in a prescribed axial extent.
