This intermittent connection-type optical fiber tape core is configured in a manner such that in a state where a plurality of optical fiber cores are arranged in parallel in a direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of said plurality of optical fiber cores, some or all of the intervals between the plurality of optical fiber cores are intermittently provided in the lengthwise direction with connected sections where the intervals between adjacent optical fiber cores are connected and non-connected sections where the intervals between adjacent optical fiber cores are not connected. The outer diameter of each of the plurality of optical fiber cores is 160-220 μm, inclusive. The catenary amount of the tip end of the intermittent connection-type optical fiber tape core projecting from the held location is 0.1-2 mm, inclusive, in a given state.

Intermittent connection-type optical fiber tape core, optical fiber cable and connector-equipped optical fiber cord

An optical fiber cable includes a plurality of optical fibers, a tensile strength member set that is disposed along the plurality of optical fibers in a longitudinal direction of the optical fiber cable, and a sheath that covers the plurality of optical fibers from outside and encloses the tensile strength member set in the sheath. In the optical fiber cable, at least four tensile strength member sets are embedded in the sheath in a state where the four tensile strength member sets are apart from each other in a radial direction of the optical fiber cable, the sheath includes a flame-retardant inorganic substance and a release agent, and a distance from one of the four tensile strength member sets to a surface layer of the sheath is 0.5 mm or more.

Optical fiber cable

An optical fiber ribbon that includes 16-48 parallel optical fiber core wires and a connecting resin that connects adjacent optical fiber core wires. The outer diameter D of the optical fiber core wires is 160-220 μm, and when N is the number of optical fiber core wires and S is the bending strain of the optical fiber core wires, S=0.167×N/2(%) or less.

A weather-resistant flame-retardant resin composition includes: a polyolefin resin; a mixture of (poly) phosphate compounds, a total content of which is from 10 to 50 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin resin; 0.1 to 10 parts by mass a non-crosslinked silicone raw rubber having a number-average molecular weight of 10,000 to 1,000,000; and 0.1 to 20 parts by mass of an inorganic UV light shielding agent, and an electric wire and an optical fiber cable whose jacket is formed by the weather-resistant flame-retardant resin.

Weather-resistant flame-retardant resin composition, optical fiber cable, and electric wire

An optical fiber cable having a slot core which includes a plurality of ribs formed along a cable longitudinal direction and in which slot grooves for housing optical fibers are formed between the ribs. The optical fiber cable includes: subunits each of which is formed by bundling a plurality of intermittent-connection-type optical fiber ribbons in which a connection part where adjacent optical fibers are connected to each other and a non-connection part where adjacent optical fibers are not connected to each other are intermittently provided in the longitudinal direction among some or all of optical fibers; and a thin-skin-shaped tube having Young's modulus lower than Young's modulus of a material forming the slot core. The subunits are housed in the slot grooves, and among the subunits in the slot grooves, at least a subunit located at an outer peripheral part of the slot grooves is covered with the tube.

Provided is an optical fiber cable whereby macrobend loss can be suppressed even when ribbons are mounted at high density in grooves. An optical fiber cable provided with optical units in which ribbons each having a plurality of optical fiber cores arranged in parallel are collected, a slot rod having a plurality of grooves for accommodating optical units, a tension member on which tension is applied, and a cable jacket for covering the outside of the slot rod. Each of the optical units is accommodated in the corresponding groove in a stranded state, and the occupancy of the optical units calculated from the cross-sectional area of the optical units with respect to the cross-sectional area of the groove is 25% to 65%.

An optical fiber cable comprises optical units having a plurality of optical fiber ribbons, a slot rod having a plurality of slot grooves in which the optical units are accommodated, and a cable sheath configured to cover an outer side of the slot rod, each of the optical fiber ribbons is intermittently provided with coupling portions, at which adjacent optical fibers are coupled therebetween, and non-coupling portions, at which adjacent optical fibers are not coupled therebetween, in a longitudinal direction between a part or all of the optical fibers in a state where the plurality of optical fibers is arranged in parallel, and an outer diameter of the optical fiber cable is 35 mm or less and a number of the optical fibers in the optical unit accommodated in one slot groove is 100 or more.
