A diagnostic imaging catheter is disclosed which includes a drive shaft, of which a distal portion is provided with a signal transmitting and receiving unit, and which can be rotated; a sheath including a lumen into which the drive shaft is inserted such that the drive shaft can be moved forward and backward; a communicating hole which is provided in a distal portion of the sheath, and through which the inside and the outside of the sheath communicate with each other; and a valve body capable of opening and closing the communicating hole. The valve body is configured to be capable of switching between a closed state in which the communicating hole is covered and blocked with the valve body and an open state which the valve body enters by being moved to the outside of the sheath from the closed state, and in which the communicating hole is open.

Diagnostic imaging catheter

A catheter includes a sheath that is inserted into a lumen; a drive shaft that transmits mechanical drive force; a hub that moves the drive shaft; an outer tube that is provided in the sheath on a proximal side and comprises a first connector at a proximal portion; an inner tube that can move inside the outer tube; a second connector that can be connected to and disconnected from the first connector and can receive the inner tube; a sheath connection portion that connects the sheath and the outer tube; and a protective tube that protrudes toward a distal side further than the inner tube, accommodates the drive shaft, can be inserted into the outer tube and the sheath, and can be pulled out of the outer tube together with the hub and the inner tube as the second connector is disconnected from the first connector.

Catheter

A probe includes a connector having a connection end surface, a first cover covering the connection end surface of the connector and defined by a surface perpendicular to a first direction corresponding to the direction toward which the probe is inserted, and a second cover configured to move in a second direction corresponding to a direction opposite to the first direction and which covers the connector by being stretched from the outer circumference of the first cover toward the second direction. The second cover moves in the second direction by receiving a press force directed toward the second direction from a wall surface formed by an opening of the adapter unit at the time of insertion of the connector into the adapter unit. The first cover is configured to be broken by the connector's press force directed in the first direction when the second cover moves in the second direction.

Probe and imaging apparatus for diagnosis

A catheter holder which is compact and which can be relatively easily released while holding the unhoused portion of the catheter stably includes: an attachment portion for receiving or being attached to a portion of a holding tube housing a portion of the catheter, and a plurality of hold portions integral with the attachment portion and holding an unhoused portion of the catheter, which is exposed outside the holder tube.
