A fuel cell fluid machine includes a rotary shaft, an electric motor, a compression unit, and a rotation assist unit. The rotation assist unit includes a turbine wheel and a turbine housing. Exhaust gas discharged from a fuel cell stack is introduced to the turbine chamber. The exhaust gas then flows in the radial direction of the rotary shaft and is discharged in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. This rotates the turbine wheel. A diameter of the turbine wheel and a diameter of the shroud surface gradually increase from an upstream side to a downstream side in a flowing direction of the exhaust gas.

Fuel cell fluid machine

An impeller including a hub surface and a plurality of blades protruding from the hub surface. Each of the plurality of blades has a pressure surface located on a leading side of the rotation direction and a suction surface located on a trailing side of the rotation direction. Each of the plurality of blades is provided with a plurality of first concave surfaces at a boundary between the pressure surface and the hub surface, and one second concave surface at a boundary between the suction surface and the hub surface. At least two different first concave surfaces having different concave radii in cross section are included in the plurality of first concave surfaces. A first concave radius that is the largest among the different concave radii is identical to a second concave radius that is a concave radius of the second concave surface in cross section.

Impeller and method of manufacturing the same

There is provided a variable nozzle mechanism that can suppress wear. The variable nozzle mechanism includes a plurality of nozzle vanes, a plurality of arms, and a unison ring. The plurality of nozzle vanes are provided in the nozzle path. The plurality of arms each have a pivoted end and a free end, and the pivoted end is integrally coupled with the nozzle vane by means of a pivot. The unison ring is provided with a plurality of grooves. Each groove is engaged with the respective free end of the arm. The free end of the arm has a closing-side contact surface and an opening-side contact surface each in contact with a respective one of paired walls forming the groove of the unison ring. The closing-side contact surface has a curvature different between a side closer to the pivot and a side farther away from the pivot.

Variable nozzle mechanism used for turbocharger

A flow rate adjustment method for a variable geometry turbocharger may include steps as follows. An adjustment apparatus drives an actuator to an abutment position where a power transmission member abuts a stopper. The apparatus acquires the abutment position opening amount based on an opening detection sensor's signal. The apparatus drives the actuator until the detection amount attains a pre-set amount, moving the power transmission member to a temporary control position. The apparatus acquires a temporary control position flow rate. It is acquired when an adjustment gas inflow apparatus causes the adjustment gas to flow into an exhaust turbine, and a flow rate measurement sensor measures the flow rate of the adjustment gas. The apparatus obtains a correction amount based on a difference between the temporary control position flow rate and a real control position flow rate, which is a proper flow rate corresponding to the pre-set amount.

Variable geometry turbocharger and flow rate adjustment method for the same

An internal combustion engine with a supercharger comprises an internal combustion engine including a plurality of cylinders; an intake passage that supplies gas to the internal combustion engine; a turbocharger-type supercharger including a turbine portion having a plurality of exhaust gas introduction passages; and an exhaust passage including a plurality of connecting passages that connect the plurality of cylinders and the plurality of exhaust gas introduction passages, wherein exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine flows through the exhaust passage. The internal combustion engine comprises a bridge passage that connects two or more of the plurality of connecting passages to each other; a branch passage connected to the bridge passage; and a first opening and closing device provided into the bridge passage to open and close the bridge passage.
