A gun mount for use in sighting-in long guns having or not having a large bottom feed, clip magazine, belt, drum or other bottom loaded ammunition feed system includes a base to be mounted on a table top or other suitable surface and that supports a rotatably mounted gun holder on which a long gun is placed. The gun holder allows the gun barrel to be adjustably fixed in each of a horizontal and vertical position. An aligned sight picture is set into the gun sights and is maintained or reset after the gun is fired by shock absorbers that keep recoil shock from changing the sight settings, or return the gun to the position at which the sights have been set.

A stabilizing vane for use with an archery arrow includes an elongate vane body with an inclined surface attached thereto. The inclined surface is confined substantially within the upper portion of the vane body spaced from the arrow shaft so as to be cooperable with an arrow rest. The inclined surface can be oriented to optimize arrow rotation and centering.

An archery arrow rest includes a base to be secured to the handle or riser of an archery bow and a pair of spaced arrow support fingers extending from the base to support an arrow shaft thereon and therebetween. The fingers are configured, such as by the provision of a spring configuration on each finger, to resiliently move vertically and horizontally to an extent to follow up and down and side-to-side movement of an arrow supported by the rest during shooting of the arrow.

Arrow rest

A vane and nock assembly for use with an archery arrow shaft to make an archery arrow includes an elongate body with a plurality of vanes extending from and along the body. An arrow shaft is attached to the front of the assembly so that the vanes extend therebehind. A nock may be removably mounted to the rearward end of the assembly or may be integral with the assembly. The nock may be cooperable with a release device so the release device can hold the nock and drawing force can be applied to a bow string of an archery bow through the release device and nock held thereby to thereby draw a bow. The use of the nock and cooperating release device is not limited to use with the vane and nock assembly.

A bracket plate type of scope sight mounting for archers, which may be constructed for mounting on a bow, either rearwardly of the bow toward the archer or forwardly of the bow away from the archer, has a rack and pinion mechanism for adjusting range of an arrow's flight, the rack of which mechanism is curved along its length and is affixed to an elongate bracket plate which is adapted to itself be affixed at one of its ends to a bow. The rack fits into an open, slideway groove formed in and extending transversely of the longitudinal extent of an elongate scope sight mounting block that is adapted to be slidably attached to the bracket plate, at one face thereof for up and down movement relative thereto, by structure including the pinion of the rack and pinion mechanism and desirably by a special washer assembly that provides resiliency. A scope sight mounting arrangement, which may be of dovetail type, extends slidably through the bracket plate and is adapted to carry a scope sight at the opposite face of the bracket plate for up and down movement with mounting block.

The invention comprises a latch mechanism, particularly adapted for a table with folding legs, having a latch bar, a latch-bar-receiving member incorporating notches for receiving the latch bar, a latch-bar-securing member, and a compression spring for urging the latch-bar-securing member into the latched position. The latch-bar-securing member incorporates an inclined plane configuration which serves as a wedge to hold the latch bar firmly secured in place regardless of wear or loose fit of the component parts.

An arrow rest support comprises an arrow support member having an elongate and hollow structure open from end-to-end along an upper portion of its length to provide a cradle-shaped arrow rest, which rigidly supports the arrow vertically against the force of gravity and semi-rigidly horizontally. Such member has sufficient open space to allow the fletching of the arrow to pass without impediment. The arrow rest support also comprises an attachment arrangement for adjusting the space between the bow handle and the arrow rest. The arrow support member is preferably molded from a medium density plastic material, such as a medium density polyethylene in a general box beam configuration having a rectangular cross section, but open along an upper elongate corner as a gap between arrow rest surfaces.

An archery bow sight mounting device having a mechanism means for adjusting the vertical launch trajectory of an arrow through an angle of ten degrees or more in closely spaced steps of 20 minutes of arc, or less, having structure to inhibit an accidental misadjustment, and having indica for calibrating range with respect to each adjustment. Structure is also provided for adjusting the transverse launch trajectory angle to compensate for variations between bows or archers. The device has a bracket which can be attached to the bow, a pair of sight mounting members adjustably affixed to the bracket and adapted for axially mounting the sight, attachment structure for pivotally mounting the first sight mounting member to the bracket, attachment structure for mounting the second sight mounting member to the bracket such that the second sight mounting member can move arcuately about the first sight mounting member, an a user operated member which drives the second sight mounting member and which employs a detent member cooperating with a catch member thus permitting the second sight mounting member to be adjusted to thirty or more different positions.

The bowstring drawback and release device of the invention has a handle member that is advantageously of comfortably contoured T-formation in which the stem of the T extends forwardly and is connected by ball and socket joinder to a support for a bowstring catch. The support is in the form of a housing that is desirably open at its forward end and along its bottom, the catch being a lever within and pivoted to the housing intermediate its ends so as to drop open upon release effected by pulling a resiliently biased trigger that is pivoted within the housing and extends outside for convenient pulling, as by the thumb of the hand of an archer holding the handle. An important feature is the provision of a transversely segmented, longitudinal, composite rod having a laterally confined, rigid, forward end segment that is adapted to engage a rearwardly shouldered portion of the catch for holding the bowstring in engaged drawback position and a laterally unconfined, rearward end segment of stiffly flexible material connected to the trigger for accommodating any misalignment of the handle member when the trigger is pulled.

A sewing machine cabinet has a power lift operable by a rack and pinion type of mechanism whose pinion is driven by a reversible electric motor which preferably has incorporated therein braking means and speed reduction gearing. The rack is provided by one of a pair of guide columns, which is preferably indented along its length in sprocket formation. The pinion is preferably a sprocket wheel meshing with the sprocket indentations.

A convertible table structure, providing a planar table top adapted, among other things, to support an open-arm or portable type of sewing machine, includes an apertured platform providing the table top and having a platform section fitting the aperture and adapted to mount the sewing machine so it can be lowered to a position wherein its working surface is coplanar with the work top of the platform proper. Link means, such as parallel motion mechanism, attaches the platform section to the platform proper, and means, such as a specially shaped lever rod, is provided for moving the platform section between its coplanar position and a lowered position, as well as for locking the platform section in its coplanar position. Other means are provided for holding such platform section in a selected lowered position. Legs or other suitable structure, such as a cabinet, supports the platform at a convenient working level.

Convertible table structure for sewing machines

A work table of the type having a primary or base table top and a secondary table top mounted by means of parallel motion mechanism on such base table top so as to be lowered from a normal working position relative to an open-arm sewing machine resting on the base table top to an open-arm working position relative to such machine and having a short supporting leg for the secondary table top, which leg is adapted to rest upon the base table top in the normal working position, is improved by making the supporting leg retractable and arranging the parallel motion mechanism so that it does not pass dead center in the raising of the secondary table top to normal working position. In this way, considerable saving in table top material is achieved and raising and lowering thereof is facilitated. It is preferable that the supporting leg be part of a crank mechanism for easily and conveniently raising and lowering the secondary table top through the relatively short swinging stroke of the parallel motion mechanism made possible by the invention.

Work table for open-arm sewing machines

A folding leg mechanism for a table is adapted to be releasably locked in a firm, stable position as the leg portion thereof is swung down to extended position from retracted position against the underside of the table top. A longitudinal slot extends through at least one side of the leg and has its longitudinal axis in substantial alignment along the leg with the pivot axis about which the leg swings. A pin extends outwardly through the slot and is adapted for movement along the longitudinal axis of the slot. Spring means are provided for biasing the pin toward that end of the leg which is attached to the table. A trackway is positioned at the side of the leg from which the pin extends, so that the pin rides on and along the trackway as the leg swings between its retracted and extended positions. Abutment means are provided with which the leg makes contact when it is moved to its extended position. An upwardly extending, pin-receiving recess is positioned in the trackway so that the pin will enter it as the leg makes contact with the abutment means. As the pin enters the recess, a wedging action takes place, locking the leg in firm contact with the abutment means.
