An adjustable kettlebell includes a cradle safety mechanism and a kettlebell safety mechanism. The cradle safety mechanism includes a position sensor that detects whether the kettlebell is in the cradled position and prevents a motor from rotating to change the weight of the kettlebell if the kettlebell is in the uncradled position. The kettlebell safety mechanism includes a dial retractable into the handle of the kettlebell. When the dial is retracted into the kettlebell, a selection mechanism cannot be rotated to change a weight of the kettlebell.

Safety mechanism for an adjustable dumbbell

An adjustable kettlebell system includes a base having a rod extending from the base. A selector is threaded onto the rod. The rod and selector extend through a plurality of weight supports. Each weight support is connected to an underlying weight support with a connector. As the selector is moved along the length of the rod by rotating the rod, the selector causes the connector to disengage with the underlying weight support. The adjustable kettlebell is then removed without the underlying weight support connected to the handle.

The magnetic resistance assembly includes a rotatable sleeve, a movable housing in contact with the rotatable sleeve, and at least one magnet disposed within the movable housing. The control mechanism also includes a knob in mechanical communication with both the push rod and the rotatable sleeve.

Adjustable dumbbell assembly capable of receiving remote instructions

An exercise machine includes a weight attachment connected to a track where the weight attachment is shaped to attach to a support structure of an independent adjustable dumbbell and to carry the support structure as the weight attachment travels along the track. A cradle of the exercise machine has a trough sized to receive the independent adjustable dumbbell, and an input mechanism in communication with a selection mechanism incorporated into the exercise machine. The selection mechanism includes a selector arranged to adjust a connection of a weight set associated with the independent adjustable dumbbell, and a subset of the weight set is carried by the support structure as the weight attachment moves along the track based at least in part on an input into the input mechanism.

A dumbbell assembly includes a cradle. The cradle includes a body, a trough defined in the body and sized to receive a weight of an adjustable dumbbell, an input mechanism incorporated into the body, and a selection mechanism incorporated into the body. The selection mechanism includes a selector that adjusts a connection of the weight with the adjustable dumbbell in response to a command received from the input mechanism.

Weight selector release mechanism

A weight plate for use in a weight stack of an exercise machine includes a locking member moveably attached to the weight plate between an interlocked position and an unlocked position. The weight plate further includes an interlocking magnet attached to the weight plate to retain the locking member in the interlocked position and an unlocking magnet attached to the weight plate to retain the locking member in the unlocked position.

A dumbbell assembly includes a cradle shaped to receive a first dumbbell having a first weight set and a second dumbbell having a second weight set. The dumbbell assembly further includes an input mechanism in communication with a selection mechanism incorporated into the cradle where the selection mechanism is in communication with both a first selector arranged to adjust a first connection of the first weight set to the first dumbbell and a second selector arranged to adjust a second connection of the second weight set to the second dumbbell.

An exercise machine includes a frame and a weight assembly with multiple plates moveably disposed along a vertical length of the frame. The exercise machine also includes a lifting member selectively engaged with the weight assembly, and the multiple plates each include at least one lift opening to receive the lifting member. The lifting member is oriented transverse to a plate length and to travel in a transverse direction with respect to the plate length. Further, the exercise machine includes a locking member associated with at least one plate of the multiple plates, and a selector having a first position and a second position. When the selector is in the first position, the locking member is interlocked with the lifting member. When the selector is in the second position, the locking member is disengaged from the lifting member.

Automated weight selector

A squat exercise apparatus includes a support structure, a plurality of weight members, at least one lift arm, and an actuator. The plurality of weight members is positioned in the support structure. The at least one lift arm has a first end coupled to the support structure and a second end arranged for contact by a user to move the at least one arm vertically during a squat exercise. The actuator assembly is operable by the user to selectively couple the at least one lift arm to at least one of the weight members during the squat exercise. A portion of the actuator assembly is carried by the at least one lift arm.

Squat exercise apparatus

Incline mechanisms are provided for adjusting an incline of an inclinable portion of an exercise device. The incline mechanism may include one or more racks disposed on a frame, such as a generally upright support structure of a treadmill. One or more pinions may be movably connected to the inclinable portion of the exercise device, such as a treadbase of a treadmill, and may engage the one or more racks. An incline motor may rotate the pinions, which causes the pinions to ride up or down the racks. As the pinions rides up or down the racks or linear gear bars, the incline of the inclinable portion of the exercise device is increased or decreased. The pinions may rotate between various positions on the racks which correspond to various inclines and declines, including fully inclined, fully declined, and neutral positions.
