A sugarcane harvester comprises a frame, a basecutter coupled to the frame for translation relative to the frame, a knockdown roller mounted for translation relative to the frame, and a synchronizer configured to translate the knockdown roller in unison with the basecutter so as to maintain a position of the knockdown roller relative to the basecutter upon translation of the basecutter relative to the frame.

A conveyor system of a sugarcane harvesting machine includes an inclined conveyor having a first shaft at a lower end and a second shaft at an upper end thereof. The belt is driven along the inclined conveyor between the first shaft and the second shaft, and the belt includes an upper portion and a lower portion between the lower end and the upper end. A floor is partially disposed between the upper portion and the lower portion of the belt, and a wiper is coupled to a bottom end of the belt such that the wiper extends from the belt in a direction towards the floor. As the upper portion of the belt travels from the lower end to the upper end of the inclined conveyor, the wiper moves with the belt and contacts and moves material that collects on a top surface of the floor.

A feed section for a multi-row sugarcane harvester comprises a first feed train configured to advance a first mat of sugarcane received from a first row of sugarcane, a second feed train configured to advance a second mat of sugarcane received from a second row of sugarcane, and a third feed train. The first and second feed trains merge into the third feed train. Each of the first feed train and the second feed train comprises a first feed roller and a second feed roller, each of which has an axis of rotation. With respect to the first feed train, the axes of rotation of the first and second feed rollers are positioned at different acute angles relative to a fore-aft axis of the feed section.

A sugarcane harvester and related method are disclosed for powering various sugarcane harvester operations. An energy storage device may be configured to receive electrical power from one or more electric machines for storage. The energy storage device may be configured to provide electrical power to the one or more electric machines to power operation of the one or more electric machines. An operating state of the sugarcane harvester may be identified, wherein the operating state is associated with one or more of a power requirement, a torque requirement, and an engine speed requirement for the sugarcane harvester. Based upon identifying the operating state, the one or more electric machines may be caused to receive electrical power from the energy storage device for conversion by the one or more electric machines to mechanical power, in order to power an operation of the sugarcane harvester.
