A method is provided. The method includes obtaining a state graph that represents a set of objects within an environment and a set of positions of the set of objects within the environment. The state graph includes a set of object nodes and a set of property nodes. The method also includes obtaining user input data. The user input data is generated based on a natural language input. The method further includes updating the state graph based on the user input data to generate an enhanced state graph. The enhanced state graph includes additional nodes generated based on the user input data. The method further includes providing the enhanced state graph to a planning module. The planning modules generates instructions for operating a mechanical system based on the enhanced state graph.

In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method includes obtaining sensor data indicative of a set of objects detected within an environment. The method also includes determining a set of positions of the set of objects and a set of properties of the set of objects based on the sensor data. The method further includes generating a state graph based on the sensor data. The state graph represents the set of objects and the set of positions of the set of objects. The state graph includes a set of object nodes to represent the set of objects and a set of property nodes to represent the set of properties of the set of objects. The state graph is provided to a graph enhancement module that updates the state graph with additional data to generate an enhanced state graph.

A system for treatment of thread includes a weft thread printer having an intake positioned to receive a weft thread from a source, as well as an encoder that is configured to detect a length of the weft thread as the weft thread moves through the weft thread printer along a travel path. The system also includes a printhead positioned to apply coatings of a plurality of colors to the weft thread and yield a treated weft thread, as well as an outlet positioned to pass the treated weft thread to a loom.

Systems and methods are provided for monitoring object placement on a surface. The system includes a pressure-sensitive conductive sheet. The pressure-sensitive conductive sheet includes a stretchable fabric, having a plurality of fibers, and a conductive material positioned on a plurality of adjoining fibers of the stretchable fabric. The system further includes a 3-dimensional structure positioned under the pressure-sensitive conductive sheet. One embodiment provides a robotic system comprising: a robot, the robot further comprising a moveable robotic arm that moves within the robot's reference space; a depth-sensing camera, the camera having a reference frame that is in substantial view of the robot's reference space; a controller, the controller further comprising a processor and a computer readable memory that comprises instructions such that, when read by the controller, the controller inputs image data from the camera and sends signals to the moveable robotic arm, the instructions further comprising the steps of: calibrating the camera to the robot by instructing the robot to engage in a number of robot poses; extracting the location of the robot poses to obtain the robot poses in the camera reference frame; and creating a transformation that transforms robot points afterwards to camera points.

The additive manufacturing composition may include a 3D printable material and a metal precursor disposed in the 3D printable material. The metal precursor may include a metal salt, a metal particle, or combinations thereof. The method may include forming a first layer of the article on a substrate, where the first layer includes the additive manufacturing composition, forming a second layer of the article adjacent the first layer, and binding the first layer with the second layer to fabricate the article. The method may also include plating a metal on at least a portion of the article to fabricate the conductive article.

An apparatus includes a jet that applies a liquid binder to an application surface and a particle applicator. The particle applicator includes a particle reservoir with at least one movable surface, an electrically controlled actuator that causes vibrations of the movable surface, and a dispersal port though which particles can exit the particle reservoir. A controller is coupled to cause the vibrations via the actuator. The vibrations result in movement of the particles through the dispersal port towards the liquid binder on the application surface.

A printing system includes a liquid ejector configured to deposit a curable layer on a surface of a substrate, the layer having a free surface and an interface between the layer and the substrate. A pre-curing device pre-cures the layer such that a first region closer to the free surface is less cured than a second region closer to the interface. The curing device includes a pre-curing initiator source configured to provide a pre-curing initiator that polymerizes the layer. The curing device also includes a pre-curing inhibitor source configured to deliver an inhibitor that inhibits polymerization of the layer. A particle delivery device delivers particles to the layer after the layer is pre-cured.

Control of particle layer depth and thickness during powder printing

A system and method for treatment of thread includes a thread printer that applies colored coatings to thread. A camera is positioned to capture images of the treated thread after it passes through an outlet of the thread printer. The system processes the images to determine whether the location of a selected segment of the treated thread corresponds to an expected location. If the actual location of the selected segment corresponds to the expected location, the system will continue instructing the thread printer to selectively apply the colored coatings to the thread according to the pattern. However, if the actual location does not correspond to the expected location, the system will modify the pattern so that thread printer adjusts the size of one or more segment to automatically account for the misalignment.
