Method, apparatus and computer program product for spur detection in a sampled waveform in a mixed analog/digital system using the magnitude of the frequency response comprising acquiring a sample waveform including a set of discrete uniformly spaced samples from a target system, wherein the sample waveform is a time domain vector; applying FFT transforming the time domain vector into the frequency domain; analyzing the frequency domain response including calculating the magnitude response; and determining whether the sample waveform has spurs including comparing the magnitude response to an average noise floor threshold including determining that the magnitude response having an average noise floor value above the average noise floor threshold has one or more spurs and determining that the magnitude response having an average noise floor value below the average noise floor threshold has no spurs, wherein a spur indicates unaligned data having a delayed bit flip.

Embodiments are provided for centralized control of execution of a quantum program. In some embodiments, a system can include a processor that executes computer-executable components stored in memory. The computer-executable components include a synchronization component that causes multiple controller devices remotely located relative to the system to be synchronized with one another and the system. The computer-executable components also include an ingestion component that accesses measurement data resulting from one or more measurements at respective qubit devices. The computer-executable components further include a composition component that generates, using the measurement data, one or more control messages for respective second controller devices of the multiple controller devices.

A method for providing a computer system including: a trivial file transfer protocol (TFTP) server computer, a system management controller computer and a set of subnet(s) including a first subnet, with each subnet of the set of subnet(s) including a primary computer and a plurality of host computers that respectively include a field programmable gate array (FPGA) with programmable blocks, polling, by the system management controller, each computer of the first subnet to determine that all of the computers of the first subnet are ready to receive a broadcast of an FPGA image, instructing the TFTP server computer to send the FPGA image to all of the machines of the first subnet; and sending, by the TFTP server computer and to all of the computers of the first subnet, the FPGA image.

Methods and apparatus for allocating bandwidth for a network processor

A method and elastic buffer circuit are provided for implementing low power, single master-slave elastic buffers in a network chip design to provide a continuous stream of data to multiple sinks from multiple sources, and a design structure on which the subject circuit resides. An elastic buffer only uses a single master-slave register. The circuit includes a finite state machine, and a latch control block (LCB) to implement the single master-slave elastic buffer removing all &#xbd; cycle paths between buffer locations enabling usage of the single master-slave register.

Implementing low power, single master-slave elastic buffer

A processor-memory bus comprises a command portion for transmitting addresses and commands, having a unidirectional input portion for transmitting commands to a central repeater unit, and a unidirectional broadcast portion for broadcasting commands from the repeater. The input portion comprises a plurality of links running from different devices, wherein each link is less than the full width of the broadcast bus portion. A command is transmitted over the input portion in a plurality of bus cycles, and broadcast over the broadcast portion in a single bus cycle. Since multiple input links connect to the central command repeater, it is possible to keep the broadcast bus full notwithstanding the fact that multiple bus cycles are required to transmit an individual command on the input portion. Preferably, the links are arranged hierarchically, from processors to local repeaters, from local repeaters to the central repeater, and back again. Preferably, the central repeater globally arbitrates the bus, and once the bus is granted, the command propagates along each link at pre-defined clock cycles from bus grant. In the preferred embodiment, addresses/commands and data are transmitted on essentially separate paths having different topologies, and at different times, and are arbitrated separately.

Bus architecture employing varying width uni-directional command bus

A method, an apparatus, and a computer program are provided to account for data stored in Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) write buffers. There is difficulty in tracking the data stored in DRAM write buffers. To alleviate the difficulty, a cache line list is employed. The cache line list is maintained in a memory controller, which is updated with data movement. This list allows for ease of maintenance of data without loss of consistency.

Memory controller to utilize DRAM write buffers

A mechanism is provided to reuse functional data buffers. With Extreme Data Rate (XDR&#x2122;) Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), test patterns are employed to dynamically calibrate data with the clock. To perform this task, data buffers are employed to store data and commands for the calibration patterns. However, there are different procedures and requirements for transmission and reception calibrations. Hence, to reduce the amount of hardware needed to perform transmission and reception calibrations, the data buffers employ additional front end circuitry to reuse the buffers for both tasks.

In an aspect, a first method of interfacing a processor and memory is provided. The first method includes the steps of (1) generating a first command and associated address of a first type that does not indicate a rank of memory targeted by the first command; (2) determining whether the memory includes a plurality of ranks; (3) if the memory includes a plurality of ranks, employing the processor to update the address associated with the first command to indicate a memory rank targeted by the first command; (4) if the memory does not include a plurality of ranks, employing the processor to update the address associated with the first command to indicate the memory does not include a plurality of ranks; and (5) converting the first command and associated updated address to a second command and associated address that are employed to access the memory. Managing write-to-read turnarounds in an early read after write memory system is presented. Memory controller logic identifies a write operation's bank set, allows a different bank set read operation to issue prior to the write operation's completion, and allows a same bank set read operation to issue once the write operation completes. The memory controller includes operation counter logic, operation selection logic, operation acceptance logic, command formatting logic, and memory interface logic. The operation counter logic receives new-operation-related signals from the operation acceptance logic and, in turn, provides signals to the operation selection logic and the operation acceptance logic as to when to issue a read operation that corresponds to either an even DRAM bank or an odd DRAM bank.

Managing write-to-read turnarounds in an early read after write memory system

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for implementing virtual packet storage via packet work area (PWA) in a network processor system. A mapping area including a packet work area and a corresponding set of packet segment registers (PSRs) are provided. A PSR is loaded with a Packet ID (PID) and a packet translation unit maps the packet data into the corresponding PWA. The PWA address defining an offset into the packet is translated into a physical address. The packet translation unit redirects loads and stores of the PWA into the correct data buffer or buffers in system memory. Packets include one or more data buffers that are chained together, using a buffer descriptor providing the packet physical address. The buffer descriptor points to a data buffer for the packet and to a next buffer descriptor.

Implementing virtual packet storage via packet work area

A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for implementing packet command instructions for network processing. A set of packet commands is provided. Each packet command defines a corresponding packet operation. A command from the set of packet commands is issued to perform the defined corresponding packet operation.
