A respiratory mask body defining a breathable air zone for a wearer and having a shut-off valve is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, the mask body includes one or more inlet ports configured to receive one or more breathing air source components. The shut-off valve is operable between a closed position and an open position, and when in a closed position the shut-off valve prevents fluid communication between the one or more inlet ports and the breathable air zone and the shut-off valve returns to an open position in the absence of an applied force.

A water treatment device for filling at least one bottle with treated tap water includes a housing unit having a reservoir, and at least one valve arranged in fluid communication with the reservoir, the valve having a water inlet/air exit port arranged adjacent to the housing unit, and a water exit/air inlet port arranged opposite the water inlet/air exit port, whereby when the valve is actuated to its open condition, water flows through the valve and into the bottle, and air entrapped in the bottle flows through the valve and into the surrounding environment. When the valve is in its closed condition, air and water do not flow through the valve.

Systems and methods for applying or dispensing fluids such as surgical prep solution. The applicator includes a distributor element and a container of surgical prep solution. The distributor element includes a projecting element that separates at least two orifices in the distributor element to provide uniform distribution of the surgical prep solution.

A brush segment, a brush element, a brush assembly, and methods of making and using the same are disclosed. The brush segment includes a center portion with inner and outer edges. The center portion also includes first and second side edges. A plurality of bristles extends outwardly from the outer edge. The inner edge includes an interlock arrangement. The side edges have an attachment arrangement for attaching adjacent segments. The brush element includes a center portion and inner and outer edges. A plurality of bristles extends outwardly from the outer edge. The inner edge includes an interlock arrangement for restraining rotation of adjacent elements assembled into a brush assembly. Two or more brush elements are secured together to form a rotary brush assembly.

The present invention describes systems and methods for applying or dispensing surgical prep solution. The applicator system includes a spreader element and a container of surgical prep solution. The spreader element includes a body with an orifice covered by a pad. The orifice is in fluid communication with a passage through an elongated stem connected to the body. The container may be collapsible with only limited recovery. The spreader element may include a receptacle for receiving the container.

Surgical prep solution applicator system and methods

An integrally molded brush. A preferred embodiment of the integrally molded brush includes a) a generally planar hub having an outer periphery, where the hub has a thickness of at least 0.05 inches; and b) a plurality of bristles extending from the outer periphery of the hub, where each of the bristles includes a bristle tip opposite the hub, where the bristle tip has a thickness up to 0.03 inches, and where the molded brush comprises a thermoplastic polymeric material. The present invention also provides a method of molding an integrally molded brush. A preferred embodiment of the method includes the steps of: a) heating a thermoplastic polymer to allow the thermoplastic polymer to be injected into a mold; b) injecting the thermoplastic polymer into a mold, wherein the mold includes a hub section and a plurality of bristle sections in fluid communication with the hub section, where the bristle tip section has a thickness up to 0.03 inches; c) injecting the thermoplastic polymer into the hub section of the mold, while maintaining the thermoplastic polymer at a high enough temperature to prevent solidification of the thermoplastic polymer; d) injecting the thermoplastic polymer into the plurality of bristle sections of the mold so as to substantially fill the plurality of bristle sections with the thermoplastic polymer; e) sufficiently cooling the thermoplastic; and f) thereafter removing the integrally molded brush from the mold.
