A computing device includes a first portion and a second portion rotatable relative to each other about a hinge. A bumper is located between the hinge and the first portion. The bumper includes an impact resistant material. The impact resistant material absorbs some or all of the force from an impact between a hinge body and the first portion.

Impact resistant hinge

In some embodiments, a support device includes an angled segment and a support segment. The angled segment is configured to be affixed to a bottom surface of a second device and rotatable relative to the bottom surface at an anchor axis. The support segment is connected to the angled segment along a support axis and rotatable relative to the angled segment around the support axis.

Folding accessory device support

The description relates to hinged devices, such as hinged computing devices. One example can include a hinge assembly that rotatably secures a first portion and a second portion. The hinge assembly can define a hinge shaft. The hinge assembly can include an adjustable closed-loop friction band secured to the first portion. The adjustable closed-loop friction band can extend between an aperture end and a removable end. The removable end can include a removable torque control element having a thickness that also at least in part controls a dimension of an aperture that receives the hinge shaft and thereby controls friction between the aperture and the hinge shaft.

Hinged device

The description relates to hinged devices, such as hinged computing devices. One example can include an expandable hinge assembly that rotatably secures a first portion and a second portion. The example can also include a hinge assembly positioned between the first portion housing and the second portion housing and that includes first and second rotatable links that are rotatable relative to both the hinge assembly and the first and second portions.

Multi-panel computing devices that have integrated magnetic coupling structure(s) are described herein. For example, a magnetic coupling structure in a panel of a multi-panel computing device may serve to magnetically couple the panel to another panel of the multi-panel computing device and/or to another object (e.g., that is exterior to the multi-panel computing device). In accordance with this example, the magnetic coupling structure may enable the multi-panel computing device to be magnetically coupled to the object without utilizing a mounting structure between the multi-panel computing device and the object.
