There are provided a drive device and so on capable of improving the reliability. A drive device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a drive device configured to generate a drive signal to be applied to a liquid jet head having a plurality of nozzles, the drive device including a plurality of drive terminals which is arranged along a longitudinal direction of the drive device, and which is configured to individually output the drive signal for jetting liquid from the nozzles, and at least one dummy terminal configured to electrically be coupled to a predetermined constant potential. The plurality of drive terminals is divided into a plurality of drive terminal groups arranged along the longitudinal direction, and the dummy terminal is arranged at at least one of intervals between the plurality of drive terminal groups.

The drive board according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a board configured to output a drive signal to be applied to a liquid jet head having a plurality of nozzles, including at least one drive device which is mounted on a board surface of the drive board, which is configured to generate the drive signal for jetting liquid from the nozzles, and which has a plurality of digital ground terminals located at a plurality of places different from each other, and a digital ground wiring line which is arranged in a mounting region of the drive device, and which is electrically coupled commonly to the digital ground terminals at two or more places out of the digital ground terminals at the plurality of places.

The liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a jet section configured to jet liquid, at least one drive device which applies a drive signal having a predetermined drive waveform to the jet section to thereby cause the jet section to jet the liquid, and a waveform setting section configured to generate regular waveform configuration information for setting the drive waveform based on simplified waveform configuration information supplied from an outside of the liquid jet head. The waveform setting section converts the simplified waveform configuration information including at least one type of reference potential value set along a time axis into the regular waveform configuration information including a plurality of types of power supply potential values set for each of the reference potential values to thereby generate the regular waveform configuration information based on the simplified waveform configuration information.

The liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with a jet section and at least one drive board. The drive board is provided with a first input terminal and a second input terminal, a plurality of drive devices, a plurality of transmission lines, and a plurality of terminal resistors. The drive devices each have a first input/output section and a second input/output section. The plurality of drive devices include a first drive device and a second drive device. The liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a jet section, a plurality of drive boards, at least one drive device, a waveform setting section, a control switch section, an external control line in which first control communication is performed, an internal control line in which second control communication is performed, and a plurality of drive control lines in which third control communication is individually performed. The waveform setting section generates second waveform configuration information for setting the drive waveform based on first waveform configuration information transmitted from the outside of the liquid jet head using the first control communication. The control switch section performs control switch between a transmission control action and a blocking control action when transmitting the second waveform configuration information, which is transmitted from the waveform setting section using the second control communication, to the drive device using the third control communication.

There are provided a liquid ejecting head and a liquid-ejecting recording apparatus in which it is possible to improve convenience. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a liquid ejecting head includes an ejecting section including a plurality of nozzles for ejecting liquid, a driving circuit that drives the ejecting section based on a printing driving signal to eject the liquid from the nozzles, a power supply path connected to the driving circuit, a detection section that acquires measurement data based on a detection result of a current flowing on the power supply path, and an arithmetic operation section that performs both an inspection of a state of the ejecting section based on the measurement data obtained by the detection section and acquisition of a parameter for ejection of the liquid.

Liquid ejecting head and liquid-ejecting recording apparatus

An embodiment of the present disclosure is a driving circuit for ejecting liquid from a plurality of nozzles in an ejecting section in a liquid ejecting head. The driving circuit includes a first signal generation section that generates a printing driving signal for ejecting the liquid from the nozzles, a second signal generation section that generates an inspection driving signal for inspecting a state of the ejecting section, and a control section that controls the first signal generation section and the second signal generation section so as to exclusively output one of the printing driving signal and the inspection driving signal to the ejecting section.
